Only pulled Blade because his build is so simple, having a ton of crit rate and HP scaling makes him a faster DPS to build in the short term for MOC progress. I also have Bronya and Luocha so his team is a no-brainier.
Yeah true, i slapped him with a random relics, not even a wind set or hp bonus set but it can already manage to kill Equil 5 monsters. Really convenient and relatively easy to build
His skill actually lasts for 4 turns, because activating it kind of sort of works like Seele's resurgence, so the first turn doesn't actually end. You can also extend buffs this way by casting ult buffs the turn you activate his skill. So he only uses 0.25 SP per turn.
Just a reminder to all you good people pulling and getting Blade, i believe, but the turn you cast the skill, does not count towards his 3 turn skill duration, so you get 4 enhanced basics per skill. Which is great, cause basically even if you never get hit at all, you are guranteed a talent proc with just one skill cycle.
Blade being better than jing yuan in aoe damage actually makes sense. A problem that he has is that if you do build him fast (in terms of speed) and you're at max stacks for the lightning Lord you can still attack an extra time sometimes before the lightning Lord activates. A nice buff for him should've been that when lightning Lord reaches max stacks it just cuts immediately to the top of the turn order resetting it's stacks. It's actually annoying how inconsistent it can be especially in stimulated universe when you can make every character cracked
Most players thought Blade was going to be an easy skip, especially after pulling for Silver Wolf and Luocha. MiHoYo's like nah, y'all going to pull for Blade. They buffed him so much, it's shocking everyone how much damage he can pump out.
Don't care about powercreeping nature. Just play what you like. That's more important than having Unga Bunga damage. You can still make them work even though they get power crept

Fun fact: when Blade uses his technique, he is cutting his wrist which explains how he lost his hp. I have decided to add another Fun fact: When Blade is downed his line is “is there a chance?” But when he gets revived by Bailu he says “I live?” Then lets out a sigh which is a continuation to the previous line since he clearly doesn’t want to live. He is like this with pretty much all healing.
tbh he's only busted cause of loucha, u only see big numbers cause he hits in a AOE, so generally that contributes to the bigger number, but i do agree on the skill point saving, u need a few eidolons to really get to a consistent high dmg potential
@@dariel299he isn't really reliant to luocha, he in fact functions very well without big heals as he sustain himself. For Jing Yuan, he has very high theorically numbers but suffers from being sp heavy, slow and having an unreliable follow up. This is not a direct power creep in terms of numbers, blade is just infinitely more efficient (nearly to the seele level of efficiency).
Blade doesn't need luocha at all, he's a luxury to have in a blade comp. Hes very self sufficient in his healing, in fact its more advantageous to have blade for luocha since it's easier for him to drop his field down.
Honkai 3rd is known for powercreep, I wouldn't be surprised that Star Rail will have it as well. Imagine if Fontaine releases new damage dealers that do 3x the dps of Ganyu and Hutao, that's the kind of powercreep Honkai 3rd experienced in 3 years, Herrscher of the Void was the first character to do 1 million dps, then in 3 years Herrscher of Thunder did 3 times that.
In think we are far enough in genshin to the point where it's safe to say genshin hates powercreep, they only try to make latest characters even less powerful if anything lol

I got Blade 4 days ago as F2P player, got him already to level 60 with decent stuff, now I'm rolling for his Light Cone and I can tell you one thing. You can easly keep him on 110 speed. That way you will be able to actually hit twice per cycle while also not giving up on the damage as much.
I have him at 110 of spd and it will stay there. Almost everything went to HP%/CRT (and giving up wind damage because those are so HARD to find), and he is so powerful. I've seen him doing 60k of damage. So I, too, wouldn't recommend not using SPD boots, and use HP% boots instead 😫😫😫
I have Bronya and Luocha so pulling for Blade feels like a no-brainer but I REALLY want to go for Kafka and Luka too. I love DoT, but I also really love Blade's berserker playstyle. If I could have two teams based around them then I'd be pretty happy but I just don't have the resources to go from both of them, Dan Heng, AND Fu Xuan.
tbh fu xuans kit (at least according to leaks) doesnt seem that good rn, ofc it can change (and will probably change) in the future but tbh it seems like shes trying to do a bit too many things. i'd recommend waiting to pull for blade and to see how he performs, because kafka introduces a whole new playstyle around dot and seems rly cool so idk. IL also looks so cool so im rly conflicted too lol

You got the effect of eidolon 1 wrong. It still has the 90% cap on his max hp, but it does 150% max hp more to the enemy you are aiming directly at, doing 240% of his max hp to the enemy at the center of the ultimate. Only the center though.

Kinda wish I watched this before going for E1 Blade instead of the Light Cone, but it is what it is. Gonna save (swipe) for Kafka now and get the Light Cone in the future if need be.
I wasn't gonna pull him, since I've built Dan Heng. BUT, after I used a friend Blade in trace farming, I was blown away by his damage. He does way more damage then Dan Heng, it's not even a competition. And to top it off I have clara lightcone, so yeah. But since I wasn't gonna pull for him, I have no materials. ='(
Not just Jingyuan, Gepard and Bailu got powercrept as well lul. Luocha dispel and debuff are very useful on hard contents and his heal is way higher than Bailu.
Blade being around Jing Yuan levels of dps (imo blade can hit a bit higher and is less reliant on SPs) is a great thing actually, i think that releasing DPS characters that are overpowered like Seele can lead to really fast powercreep which is not fun for anyone in the long run.
to be honest with you, i have jing yuan. i think he’s super cool and i love the LL mechanic. but from a long term perspective, blades release makes me feel like straight garbage. like a complete waste of jades at how fast jing yuan is already getting powercreeped after 2 patches already. like i have enough jades rn to guarantee another limited char but i choose not to cuz i have jing yuan but man does this feel so much fun and so rewarding to have jing yuan
the way that his eidolon 1 works its additional 150% damage, its not multiplying the current one by 1.5 its adding 150% more damage to the main hit. So if I have 7777 hp on blade 90% of that is 7000k, without eidolon the main target is hit for 7000hp +40%atk, with eidolon it does 7000HP +40%ATK +10500HP to main target

Its wild I went from 100% skipping Blade and 100% pulling Kafka. Then I saw how much better Blade is then Kafka post reworks and I said fuck it Kafka may be sexy but she can't even hold Blades balls in terms of being useful. So I went and pulled blade and said fuck it I can pull Kafka next go around. Since pulling Blade I can Solo 9 of 10 MOC levels. And the other one I just two man with Luocha. Talk about getting your money/pulls worth on a character. His self sustaining is godly.
5:38 even if it doesn't generate skill points I still think it's efficient skill point usage. For one point you get multiple powerful attacks, allowing other allies to capitalize on this

Just a quick tip for team building: preservation characters are not recommended in Blade comps as the increased aggro on your Gepard and March 7th means less HP lost for building dmg for ultimate as well as not being able to build stacks for follow up attack as getting hit with a sheild doesn't count. As someone with a Gepard carry, I tried to cope but the DPS and overall utility loss is quite noticeable. As for abundance character pairings, the ranking from best to meh goes like Luocha, Bailu then Natasha. Hope this helps :)
Imma try to get blade, Pair him with Arlan's light cone for now then get his light cone during his Rerun 4 or more patches later unless another good option pops up better then Arlan's light cone
Don't worry, Code. The new story is great. I'm sure you'll enjoy it and then you can level Blade. I spent all day between story and leveling him and he's now 80 with 80 lightcone and level 15 of his correct relics. Next up is talents. (Currently 4 / 6 / 4 / 4).
if you get into a simulated universe run where you get the error code that gives 2 skill points then blade gets a skill point even when he has his passive up just thought that was cool
Blade's powerful, but his team becomes Diifficult to Use" due to Luocha not existing, having Luocha on the account along Blade just makes the team an almost no brainer... not to mention that whatever healers you add in the team will almost make you go SP negative, Bronya+Pela are already SP neutral and Blade doesn't generate SP, if you add Natasha/Bailu in and keep using their skill, you will almost run into negative SP... meanwhile Natasha and Bailu barely catch up due to their heals not being as great or providing enough "stuff": 1. Natasha doesn't provide Blade with much besides some small Heals and a Cleanse, she can do if no other healers, but the team will start running into SP problems due to miHoYo's smart thinking of making almost all enemies deal AoE DMG for some reason that chips away all your HP on the other units, meanwhile the Monkey from Xianzhou Luofu is almost 1 shotting you, so not having a revive or hella HP heal to get the character that somehow survives back up in terms of HP, unless Natasha's targetted, then you just restart the WHOLE STAGE... 2. Bailu's Revive Chance (unless she freaking dies) doesn't make up for the fact that she has NO Cleanse, she can do in the team... but her Heals are somewhat small from what I saw on MY account, maybe it will be better if I managed to 15×6 her relics, but that's too much investment for some minimal upgrade from a 500-700 heal to 600-800 heal, I may be WRONG on this one, but it still makes things feel horrible because all the heal she does doesn't get dumped into one single character to get an actual massive heal like Luocha would do, if miHoYo somehow makes a toggle for Bailu's heal between AoE and single target... apply the same thing to Bailu cuz she may also get one shot by the Monkey in Xianzhou Luofu... there's also leakers that leaked the kits for Lynx and Fu Xuan... with Lynx coming in 1.3, if they do not change her, she might or WILL be a better option than Natasha and Bailu imo atleast, and if Fu Xuan is also getting some changes to make her a DMG reduction Preservation unit, rather than just a Shielder like Gepard, then these two might become Blade's new fav. pals besides SW+Luocha for people that got these or Pela+whatever current healers we got...

Hi Code.... I have a different interpretation of his E1... When you check his ultimate, it has an additional damage of up to 90% of Blade's Max HP when you take damage. The accumulation rate of this varies depending on the level of your ultimate... E1 serves the same purpose but only deals damage on the main target... It stores up to 90% of Blade's Max HP but with a fix accumulation rate of 150% of his lost HP... So if the enemy deals 10% of Blade's HP, the total damage accumulation will be 15% of Blade's Max HP which is a lot easier compared to his default ultimate... To further elaborate, his lvl. 10 C1 ultimate will deal the following: •40% Attack •100% Max HP •100% of Blade's lost HP, capped at 90% •150% of Blade's lost HP, capped at 90% Please be noted that the last portion will not be an AoE damage and only applies to the main target... So for a single target enemy, optimal C1 full stacks Blade, it is around 40%-45% damage increase to his ultimate... This is balanced out by the fact that you need to accumulate energy to use your burst...
The main issue with yuan is that his main source of dmg is only his passive tbh. His ult deals decent dmg while the rest like basic and skill sucks ass, their only purpose is to increase stacks.

Idk about you, but my Jing yuan's at 60% crit, 3400 attack, 177% critdamage with his weapon. It's just bait imo, Blade is not better than JY in AOE, he's still the lightning lord king of AOE dps. Blade even falls in the same tierlist as JY, Seele's stop a tier above both of them in ST DPS. Guys are making bs comparisons Bad build vs good build, it's not a factual comparison in dps.
jing yuan is a great character and can do a big damage in both aoe&st, he just needs a lot of investment (cr, cd, atk, er, 134spd for 10 stacks LL and even his LC). i don't understand why people use +9 relic no set no stat on him and say "he is mid" or some don't even have him lol
Mann his skills are beautiful and now that I know he does rly good damage it's hard not to pull for him. However Sampo is my favorite character so I am set on getting Kafka for a DOT team with him, so I'm gonna skip blade for now. Definitely planning on grabbing him on his rerun tho >:)

U can give the light cone to clara or arlan. Clara for sustain cause she get more hp to get tank after hit by enemy and crit rate so u can focus on crit damage body for her
I feel like only Blade beats Erudition at AOE tho. Plus, we will likely get some busted Erudition characters in the future (hopefully). One advantage they have is that they are faster.

You got the effect of eidolon 1 wrong. It still has the 90% cap on his max hp, but it does 150% max hp more to the enemy you are aiming directly at, doing 240% of his max hp to the enemy at the center of the ultimate. Only the center though.

So with my friends T-posing irl for the summoning ritual, I did *ONE* 10x summon and FREAKING GOT HIM. *Task failed successfully* 😭🤙
Kinda wish I watched this before going for E1 Blade instead of the Light Cone, but it is what it is. Gonna save (swipe) for Kafka now and get the Light Cone in the future if need be.

I wasn't gonna pull him, since I've built Dan Heng. BUT, after I used a friend Blade in trace farming, I was blown away by his damage.
He does way more damage then Dan Heng, it's not even a competition. And to top it off I have clara lightcone, so yeah.

Not just Jingyuan, Gepard and Bailu got powercrept as well lul. Luocha dispel and debuff are very useful on hard contents and his heal is way higher than Bailu.

Blade being around Jing Yuan levels of dps (imo blade can hit a bit higher and is less reliant on SPs) is a great thing actually, i think that releasing DPS characters that are overpowered like Seele can lead to really fast powercreep which is not fun for anyone in the long run.

the way that his eidolon 1 works its additional 150% damage, its not multiplying the current one by 1.5 its adding 150% more damage to the main hit. So if I have 7777 hp on blade 90% of that is 7000k, without eidolon the main target is hit for 7000hp +40%atk, with eidolon it does 7000HP +40%ATK +10500HP to main target

Its wild I went from 100% skipping Blade and 100% pulling Kafka. Then I saw how much better Blade is then Kafka post reworks and I said fuck it Kafka may be sexy but she can't even hold Blades balls in terms of being useful. So I went and pulled blade and said fuck it I can pull Kafka next go around. Since pulling Blade I can Solo 9 of 10 MOC levels. And the other one I just two man with Luocha. Talk about getting your money/pulls worth on a character. His self sustaining is godly.
5:38 even if it doesn't generate skill points I still think it's efficient skill point usage. For one point you get multiple powerful attacks, allowing other allies to capitalize on this
it’s 1 skill point for 4 attacks bc the skill itself doesnt end blade’s turn soo he has like a 0.33 skill point usage

Just a quick tip for team building: preservation characters are not recommended in Blade comps as the increased aggro on your Gepard and March 7th means less HP lost for building dmg for ultimate as well as not being able to build stacks for follow up attack as getting hit with a sheild doesn't count. As someone with a Gepard carry, I tried to cope but the DPS and overall utility loss is quite noticeable. As for abundance character pairings, the ranking from best to meh goes like Luocha, Bailu then Natasha. Hope this helps :)

Don't worry, Code. The new story is great. I'm sure you'll enjoy it and then you can level Blade. I spent all day between story and leveling him and he's now 80 with 80 lightcone and level 15 of his correct relics. Next up is talents. (Currently 4 / 6 / 4 / 4).

Blade's powerful, but his team becomes Diifficult to Use" due to Luocha not existing, having Luocha on the account along Blade just makes the team an almost no brainer... not to mention that whatever healers you add in the team will almost make you go SP negative, Bronya+Pela are already SP neutral and Blade doesn't generate SP, if you add Natasha/Bailu in and keep using their skill, you will almost run into negative SP...
meanwhile Natasha and Bailu barely catch up due to their heals not being as great or providing enough "stuff":
1. Natasha doesn't provide Blade with much besides some small Heals and a Cleanse, she can do if no other healers, but the team will start running into SP problems due to miHoYo's smart thinking of making almost all enemies deal AoE DMG for some reason that chips away all your HP on the other units, meanwhile the Monkey from Xianzhou Luofu is almost 1 shotting you, so not having a revive or hella HP heal to get the character that somehow survives back up in terms of HP, unless Natasha's targetted, then you just restart the WHOLE STAGE...
2. Bailu's Revive Chance (unless she freaking dies) doesn't make up for the fact that she has NO Cleanse, she can do in the team... but her Heals are somewhat small from what I saw on MY account, maybe it will be better if I managed to 15×6 her relics, but that's too much investment for some minimal upgrade from a 500-700 heal to 600-800 heal, I may be WRONG on this one, but it still makes things feel horrible because all the heal she does doesn't get dumped into one single character to get an actual massive heal like Luocha would do, if miHoYo somehow makes a toggle for Bailu's heal between AoE and single target... apply the same thing to Bailu cuz she may also get one shot by the Monkey in Xianzhou Luofu...
there's also leakers that leaked the kits for Lynx and Fu Xuan... with Lynx coming in 1.3, if they do not change her, she might or WILL be a better option than Natasha and Bailu imo atleast, and if Fu Xuan is also getting some changes to make her a DMG reduction Preservation unit, rather than just a Shielder like Gepard, then these two might become Blade's new fav. pals besides SW+Luocha for people that got these or Pela+whatever current healers we got...

To address what they said though Eula didn't get powercrept because she had a timer nuke though, she was powercrept because the Dendro element had zero reactions with Physical which left her out of the new meta. Idk people want to make meta comparisons between two entirely different games though, there is really no comparison in their place in their respective metas. Turn based combat is way too different to make a comparison like that.

Hi Code.... I have a different interpretation of his E1...
When you check his ultimate, it has an additional damage of up to 90% of Blade's Max HP when you take damage. The accumulation rate of this varies depending on the level of your ultimate...
E1 serves the same purpose but only deals damage on the main target... It stores up to 90% of Blade's Max HP but with a fix accumulation rate of 150% of his lost HP... So if the enemy deals 10% of Blade's HP, the total damage accumulation will be 15% of Blade's Max HP which is a lot easier compared to his default ultimate... To further elaborate, his lvl. 10 C1 ultimate will deal the following:
•40% Attack
•100% Max HP
•100% of Blade's lost HP, capped at 90%
•150% of Blade's lost HP, capped at 90%
Please be noted that the last portion will not be an AoE damage and only applies to the main target...
So for a single target enemy, optimal C1 full stacks Blade, it is around 40%-45% damage increase to his ultimate... This is balanced out by the fact that you need to accumulate energy to use your burst...

Idk about you, but my Jing yuan's at 60% crit, 3400 attack, 177% critdamage with his weapon. It's just bait imo, Blade is not better than JY in AOE, he's still the lightning lord king of AOE dps. Blade even falls in the same tierlist as JY, Seele's stop a tier above both of them in ST DPS. Guys are making bs comparisons Bad build vs good build, it's not a factual comparison in dps.
Yeah, I never felt even once that JY needed any improvements at all, he does good Aoe dmg for me.
jing yuan is a great character and can do a big damage in both aoe&st, he just needs a lot of investment (cr, cd, atk, er, 134spd for 10 stacks LL and even his LC). i don't understand why people use +9 relic no set no stat on him and say "he is mid" or some don't even have him lol

I feel like there is no reason to pull for Erudition characters when Destruction characters just does things they do, but better.
I feel like only Blade beats Erudition at AOE tho. Plus, we will likely get some busted Erudition characters in the future (hopefully). One advantage they have is that they are faster.
