LIVE - Cody Rhodes beats Roman Reigns - WM 40 Main Event FULL match finish (Ft. Rock, Taker, Cena)

The epic finish to the main event of Wrestlemania 40 with the Cody Rhodes beating Roman Reigns to finish his story and end the 1316 long day title reign of The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. Jey Uso came out to take down Jimmy, John Cena came out to stop Solo, The Final Boss The Rock came out to hit John Cena with a Rock Bottom and the Deadman Undertaker appeared to chokeslam The Rock.
In the finish of the match Roman Reigns hit Seth Rollins with a steel chair to take revenge of the Shield breakup but this gave Cody the chance to hit 3 consecutive cross rhodes and pin the tribal chief.
This was the greatest wrestlemania main event of all time!
I don't think some people understand the true meaning of the ending of the match Tonight.
Seth Rollins told Cody Rhodes weeks ago "I'LL BE YOUR SHIELD"
Roman could have hit Cody with the chair and won the match....
But when he saw Seth wearing the old shield attire...
All those old feeling of Rollins stabbing him in the back came all flying back into his head.
After all these years, he FINALLY saw a chance to get revenge on Seth Rollins for Betraying him.
He took it and it cost him the match.
Seth did what he said he would do, he was CODY's SHIELD tonight. He saved Cody from
Getting hit with that chair by finally paying for his mistakes.
Rollins once again got in Roman's head and used his past trauma against him.
LONG. TERM. STORYTELLING.

The whole bloodline stems from that betrayal and Roman wanting his family who he can trust. With no Seth betrayal, no bloodline. The fact Roman still hadn't moved past it and had to get revenge cost him it all in the end. Even the power of the bloodline wasn't enough in the end.

I think a lot of us had that in our minds 'Is Ambrose back??' When it was actually Seth Rollins decked out in his old 'Shield' ring attire. That too was a tie-in to Rollins & Reigns in The Shield & when Rollins 1st turned on The Shield by hitting Roman from behind with the chair. This time around Roman returned the favor on Rollins, exacting revenge for all those years since the initial betrayal BUT in the process Roman took his focus off of Cody & this allowed Cody to recover & win the match & the Universal championship. Hell of a main event, one of those that will be talked about for years to come.
Congratulations Cody Rhodes you finally finished your story you are the new WWE champion
I think undertaker came out in honor of the fiend who was also pinned by Roman
In the end, it was more important to The Architect that Roman lose than Seth win.

Awesome genuine LIVE reaction, for my first time watching your channel. I have seen every Wrestlemania since the very first one when i was almost 7 years old and now 40 years later, when I'm almost 47. Ill give you a little insight behind the curtain. Whenever you have seen the referee Charles Robinson referee a championship match, the title has changed hands. So when i saw him ref Cody vs roman, i knew from the start of the match that Cody was gonna win it. That's coming from watching Wrestlemania all these years and i knew something special and awesome was gonna happen. For those just getting into their groove watching Wrestlemania, i hope you enjoy the journey WWE takes you on from here on out, cause with Triple H in charge, i promise you, he's just getting started. Man the production was so so kack lustre. So dark,basic stage,no bright lights. Felt like a usual stadium event.
The lights they had on were TOO bright and the crowd chanted to turn them off
@@ashtonrowe4051 I have to explain here,am talking about the whole vibe and the grandiose feel like it has had over the years. Last year theme was gold and red. This year the crowd was pitch dark on Day 1. The tron over the ring,light rigs,special effects lights,canopy,aisle,stage were all too dark and dull. Kevin Dunne is made to be a villain all the time but damn it he and Vince always got the setting right
