Gabriela Montes I don’t participate in DI but I’ve always heard not to be afraid to throw a little humor in there. Don’t go overboard obviously but it can help.
I was the 2022 National Champion of HI in a different league, and this remains the best Humorous interp I've ever seen. I watched this in my first year trying to figure out what an HI *was,* and I STILL can't get over the conveyor belt scene; utterly INCREDIBLE! I'm very glad I didn't have to compete against you lol!
I know that this is actually a movie but is there an actual script made specifically for HI on this because this is by far my favorite piece and even the NSDA 2016 Final script list didn't have a publisher so does anyone know if it is an actual script and if so, where I could find it
@@dodobobby5617 UPDATE: good news is I tracked it down, the bad news is as follows. After finding the publishing number of the script from the 2016 nationals I searched it and found "Fast Horse Plays: the Reaper's Round" which includes three plays that lament on death. One of these is defending your life by Al Brookes. The problem is, the book that it's in, doesn't really exist, no one sells it, libraries don't have it and looking its sole name up comes with no gain. That's where the hunt is currently so if anyone can find Fast Horse Plays: the Reaper's Round special edition one-acts, then please post where and how
They're usually very lenient during these finals. The pieces are usually penalized in all previous rounds if they go over. If they go over in the finals, it could be due to the audience and waiting for laughter to end
"I-- I was a prophet-- I was *_THE_* prophet-- I was *JESUS CHRIST* !!"
THANK GOD I LOVE THIS PIECE I WAS SO UPSET WHEN THEY TOOK IT DOWN ur my forensics hero yikes by

A person who graduated told someone else who was doing H.I. that "If you aren't sweating by the end of it, you didn't do it right." Lol

I don’t think so, some people cut actual books and movies and stuff for scripts

He would practice an average of about 20-30 hours per week
Damn, I’m a dancer and even we end up with 18 hours. I couldn’t imagine any more than that.

Someone likes Kristen Wiig...
This is what passes for humor today? OMG!
What the fuck is this competition called? It’s shockingly unfunny. It wreaks of Canadian humor but I’m probably wrong.
