I think JoJo is an important watch because its one of the most influential manga series of all times. It ran alongside Dragon Ball in the same magazine and has influenced tons of media since then. Chances are you've seen references to the series and not even realized it. My Hero Academia has at least one JoJo reference in it since I know you watch that.

Araki: yes
Apparently, Araki takes a lot of inspiration from Greek and Roman statues and imagery for character poses and he looks at modern niche fashion lines to figure out how characters should look outfit-wise. So that probably explains A LOT, really. And then you mix that with Japanese sensibilities of cool and how that's switched around over the years and throw in some well thought out symbolism and the occasional horror reference, and things get wild FAST.

JoJo OP's are not designed to introduce people to the series, they're pure hype for people who already read the manga. Each OP is crammed full of events that will happen in the series, but if you haven't seen it, you won't get the context for the refrences.
For anime watcher, I recommend after finishing a part of JoJo, go back and watch the Openings again, and notice all the stuff you missed the first time around.
To put it into perspective, Mother's Basement did a breakdown of Part 4's openings, which are 5, 6, 7 and he spends 24 mins dissecting 3 intros.
He also did a two part about the first 4 op. I really want one about Fighting Gold and Uragirimono no Requiem

Technically, there are even more than that. People always forget that EVERY part of JoJo has an altered opening near the end of that part and that includes Sono Chi no Sadame and Bloody Stream. They just aren't as noticable because they just introduce sound effects to the fighting. Also Crazy Noisy Bizzare Town has a second EDM style version. The only openings without multiple versions IIRC are Stand Proud, Chase, and Fighting Gold.

The best thing about this show is that after you watch it, you understand so many other inside jokes you didn’t understand beforehand. It really gives you an “In the Loop” type of feel.

I think the only way to get original subs I think is the dvd the best bet other than that is crunchyroll they do have the changed subs but they don’t censor the gore (jojo has quite a bit of it)

Actually, its because Hirihiko Araki is a huge fan of high fashion. And jojo, before anything else is a show where he gets to show off his passions. So, when everybody poses like a supermodel, its literally because they're posing like supermodels.
Also, in regards to the ZA Warudo part of the opening, that technically is a second version of that opening. When crucial information or an important turning point in the story happens, the final opening of that Arc will add something new to reflect what's going on, and its THE hypest shit.

I love watching reactions to JOJO openings. The openings themselves are absolutely beautiful and don't give away all too many spoilers, they show things that get your brain going trying to figure out what's going on and there's always some small detail you missed on the original watch that ends up blowing your mind later on.
My favorite detail is the Stardust Crusaders one where you have the 5 shooting stars and right before they vanish you can see a 6th on the right (representing Iggy the dog)
Genuinely love watching these reactions. It feels like I’m experiencing the series again in a way.

It’s always interesting to watch people’s reactions to all the jjba openings with little to no context haha. Been a jojo fan since David production took over and started phantom blood and I also wryyyyd the manga so I hold a big appreciation for those trying to get into jojo. Hopefully you give the show a chance and end up liking it. Well worth the music, style and artwork of the show

It’s always fun to see someone who hasn’t watched JoJo watch the rewinded OP.
The openings just get better with each episode because they subtly reveal crucial plot points in each one and its great to see with each one you understand the visuals more. Jojo is great there truly isnt snything like it

Hey drvth this was the first vid I've watched of you and I'm subbed I would suggest listening to the full versions if the songs especially bloody stream because the full versions are extremely good
Fourth op is one of my favorites. I love how it has the first three singers all together
*buff and fabulous! Literally every jojo character even the extras with one frame!
When you said “is this fist of the North Star stuff” I remembered hearing that the creator of jojo was inspired by it and that’s why the characters look similar and the way they fight is in a way similar too. So you were right. Also there is one more op but I guess the video you saw didn’t have it; it’s called traitors requiem and in terms of visuals and story telling from the op is my favorite, but in terms of sound my favorite it FIGHTING GOLD!!
The evolution of Koichi's hair(Short guy with silver hair) with every opening is one of my favorite bits in part 4 and it goes along well with his character growth and dependability in the show. 100% my favorite support character from part 4 along with Kishibe Rohan! Don't sleep on this gem!

JOJO tends to have a special OP theme song for every main villain! Another cool thing I noticed in part 5, The ending theme songs slowly add the stands of the side villains who have perished/ Decommissioned on the sculpture! They some time and love in this show! Worth the watch!
