As a former contestant in this genre of program, I have to doubt that they considered such a strategy. When you get into the groove, you just roll with it.
S48 LOSERS’ TABLE Though they were well on pace at one point, UEA's weak finish means they will not be moving on. King's - London are thus confirmed as the fourth-highest scoring losers. East London have the unfortunate distinction of being the closest team to earning a second chance. Pembroke-Cambridge, on the other hand, have the the even more unfortunate distinction of finishing as the lowest-scoring team this series. Onto the playoffs! 175 Emmanuel - Cambridge 150 Exeter 150 Hertford - Oxford 145 King’s - London ------------------- 135 East London 115 East Anglia 110 Queen’s - Belfast 105 York 90 SOAS 75 Pembroke - Oxford 75 Sidney Sussex - Cambridge 55 London - Institute in Paris 55 Strathclyde 50 Pembroke - Cambridge
Sorry to see UEA lose: Forde-Roberts looked terrified or not amused, not sure which, all through the match, and Walker has an intiriguing resemblance to Jean Cocteau's actor, Jean Marais: similar sculptural cast of features.
The Paxperson clearly said all three answers begin with the same two letters, and the first answer was Tellurium, so Terbium is the only one that is acceptable, not Erbium or Ytterbium.

I love how the one team already won but didn't want the other to get enough points.

Thanks as always for the quick upload, Psiman!
Thanks again for uploading!

Great match. I've never seen someone be both as good and as bored at the same time as Forde-Roberts.

You mean -- copied?
That's the second time they have asked a question about Phaedrus and Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
Forde-Roberts was doing so much heavy-lifting for UEA. The rest of the team just weren't backing her up. Sigh. But props to Keeble!
IKR?!
Keble was good in this, but relied heavily on Pasternak. I'd be worried about them against a more balanced team.
The Ytterbium answer is correct. Why did Pax not give it?
The Paxperson clearly said all three answers begin with the same two letters, and the first answer was Tellurium, so Terbium is the only one that is acceptable, not Erbium or Ytterbium.
Yeah, Schwarzenegger became governor in 1975...
IKR?!
Durham Harmonics: "FFS, ALL OF KEBLE BAR PLAYER SHOULD BE DISQUALIFIED!!!!!!!! SAY YOUR BLOODY SURNAMES!!!!!!!"
That's quite the Boston accent.
Green’s irritating
why? because he is suave and debonair, perhaps.
