I'm a cop... Where I live, weed is legal for recreational use. If it was illegal I don't think I would arrest someone in possession of it. It's a freaking plant. I've never seen a husband smoke weed and then go home and beat his wife and kids. I've never seen any type of violence caused by marijuana. It should be illegal to drive while high and I think you should have to be an adult to use it. Other than that go for it. Make it legal in every state. There is a lot of money to be made in marijuana.

I dont qualify for a medical card so that's why I'm scared using it. It's also difficult to find work. This whole situation is really frustrating because the drug obviously has medical uses and needs to be legalized.
I have PTSD as well and I tried psych meds for two years with no promising results. Then I tried marijuana last year and now am almost completely healed from my PTSD. Amazing healer!

However, I have no problem with people smoking the leaf from a plant, and considering that marijuana interdiction is about 40% of the entire DEA, court systems, and prisons, removing this antiquated and ridiculous ban would be the greatest thing Trump could do. That would allow the 40% of our efforts against truly dangerous drugs like heroin, meth, etc, to be added to that cause.

Republicans are evenly split on the issue while Democrats and independents support legalization 68% and 67% respectively. 63% of Americans as a whole support recreational and 93% support medical. Only 23% of the population wants to enforce federal weed laws while 70% oppose. Republicans in congress could have impeached Obama over his policy of non-enforcement of the law, but they chose not to. I think that says something, they just need to get off their asses and make it law instead of pussy-footing around the issue.

I am a veteran and Cannabis helped me with my severe depression, anxiety and PTSD. All of those prescription drugs that I used to be on either didn't help me at all or gave me bad side effects. Cannabis saved my life.
Thanks for your service. I struggle with depression, anxiety, and OCD and have tried almost every prescription drug. Marijuana has given me a different perspective on life. I dont qualify for a medical card so that's why I'm scared using it. It's also difficult to find work. This whole situation is really frustrating because the drug obviously has medical uses and needs to be legalized.
I have PTSD as well and I tried psych meds for two years with no promising results. Then I tried marijuana last year and now am almost completely healed from my PTSD. Amazing healer!

However, I have no problem with people smoking the leaf from a plant, and considering that marijuana interdiction is about 40% of the entire DEA, court systems, and prisons, removing this antiquated and ridiculous ban would be the greatest thing Trump could do. That would allow the 40% of our efforts against truly dangerous drugs like heroin, meth, etc, to be added to that cause.

Republicans are evenly split on the issue while Democrats and independents support legalization 68% and 67% respectively. 63% of Americans as a whole support recreational and 93% support medical. Only 23% of the population wants to enforce federal weed laws while 70% oppose. Republicans in congress could have impeached Obama over his policy of non-enforcement of the law, but they chose not to. I think that says something, they just need to get off their asses and make it law instead of pussy-footing around the issue.
