Well I decided to read Isom to see if it was any good. The biggest take away when I finished was that if someone asked me what it's about then it would be impossible for me to explain it to them. I now understand why the synopsis was so bad
I went from watching JRE and Friday Night Tights every week to Redbar and Biggest Problem. I call this growth lol

All the esum drama got me to check out clips. Rackets calling Vito a pedestrian, when obviously he walks nowhere, kept me away for a bit. Vito's still the worst part but it's a fun show.

I thought Vito was exaggerating when he said the Isom synopsis was bad because most synopses are pretty bland and don't tell you anything, but I went to the site to read the Isom synopsis and it is genuinely the worst synopsis I have ever read. I cannot believe a "writer" wrote that, particularly the first and last paragraphs
Rippa's not a writer, that's the issue but he's parading around pretending he's doing something new when it's the same quality of a teenager that learned how to write in script format 2 weeks before deadline. This screams of "I gassed this up way too much and tried my best last minute and they're calling me out" vibes, like when you cram an essay the day before.

An absurd number of NES consoles were made, and they hold up really well. The pins often go bad, but they're cheap af to replace. A new Switch is more expensive than an original NES unless its sealed in box and the box is in mint condition.
There's some crazy expensive old collectable consoles and games, but most is worth less than you'd expect.
A six year old piece of tech is more costly than a 37 year old one? Shocker!
Of course it's easier. Just like a carburetor is easier than efi.
Either way NES retro shit is overpriced. I can get a fucking vcr for free. And it came out then too.
@@ChuckDanger The Collector market, at least for things that aren't sealed in box, is to play old games as they were intended on the original hardware.
It's more worth it for some things than it is for others. NES can be emulated easily, and you can get pretty accurate NES style USB controllers.
The Sega Saturn however is extremely difficult to emulate, so it's far more worth it to buy a used Saturn if you really like the games.
Of course because of that and the lower production numbers, a Saturn will cost you more than something like an NES.

Don't know if Vito will still care a week from now, but we had a ton of cartoons and kids media in Scandinavia where people died. Maybe the most well known one is the Lionheart Brothers, where the younger brother is dying of tuberculosis, and they both then die in a house fire. Really leaves a mark on your 6 year old brain.
My favorite was a moomin trolls movie I saw at 5 or 6. The moomins all find out a big ass comet is about to hit the valley, so they pack up all their stuff and have to leave their homes.
But as they make their trek away from the valley, the comet just gets bigger and bigger in the sky. They eventually realize they can't escape it, and just sort of stop, and accept death.
The comet ends up missing earth, but as a kid you only really remember the first part. That, and the fact that nobody cried. More raps, please.

@@gruntsrule1 It's more of a rollercoaster than it sounds, that sort of story style has been present in European folklore forever more or less. The heroic tales usually have more pronounced peaks and valleys than you see in modern media aimed at children. Like the Lionheart brothers, it's not really a sad story more than a story about loss and all the aspects of it but presented a bit more easily digestible for kids.

Vito, I weighed 300lbs 2 years ago. Slight changes in my diet like sugar free drinks got me to 270 by last thanksgiving. Actually going low calorie high protein with 4 days a week in the gym got me to 230 now adding 50 to my bench and 100 to my squat. Just start doing it. It’s fun. It’s not that hard.
Literally just keep track of calories will make drastic diff

@@BiggestProblem A big issue here is also that it's not really anything new, the big indie boom in comics already happened 30 years ago. This is just a more clumsy attempt to make another Image Comics but with less thought put into it and none of the industry veterans present in key positions to shape the company. Image had a lot of issues but the business structure overall wasn't a bad idea.

Also no-one seem to remember the webcomic boom in the mid 2000s when people didn't even publish their comics to print but just posted daily/weekly strips and compiled them into volumes to sell. It was a big thing for a while with some huge acts like Penny Arcade, this pursuit of "unsullied" media is just puritanical bullshit again with zero real though put into it pushed by internet grifters that just change opinions based on what's more valuable at the moment since they don't seem to have personalities that can just keep them successful on their own without being outraged over something.
