The very first thing I ask you to do may seem odd. I mean, it’s the exact opposite of how you ‘think’ you want to sound…
But it’ll reveal how you can nail these notes with ease, using a simple pick-holding technique and by maximising the different parts of the string you play.

Great advice as always. Also, at least on my guitars, the harmonics are stronger when I use only one pickup.

I GET A reasonable similar pinch harmonic SQUEAL-- by probing the fret with my index finger whilst plucking the string SIMULTANEOUSLY!
I've been playing for years and have never tried this before.
I have been trying to figure this out for 2 weeks and I'm still stumped. I will learn how to pinch but dang lol
Gonna try this but I hold pick untraditionaly with my thumb and middle finger

Can anyone explain or link a vid explaining when regular harmonics, where you lightly put your fret finger on the string, only work on certain frets and not other?
anybody have any tips for getting those slipknot like meaty harmonics on the low E I can get then everywhere else?
