I am a psych major and thankfully it’s nothing like this for me. Just be a good student and you’ll be fine, choose a major you’re passionate about so that you enjoy what you’re learning.
@@chelseabhatia yes, I had to take a statistics course. I took ap stats in high school but didn’t do the exam for some reason and ended up taking it again in college. It’s honestly my favorite kind of math, it’s very different from other types. Even if you’re not a math person, statistics is an entirely different way of thinking about the world, it involves a lot of writing and interpreting results. I found that since it’s easily relatable to the real world I had an easier time with it than with other types that just feels like math for the sake of math.

Hi there! Psychology student here! So we folks wake up normal, eat breakfast and then do some exercise in order to boost our cognition. Then on the way to college we observe things a lot (sometimes overanalyzing in the process!) and then go to college and start looking for people to help us with our experiments. The exam results come in and we are graded based on how well we would deal with a situation in real life instead of just writing definitions. Then we take the theoretical classes, go home and after getting a rest either analyze a character from a show and write a report on them or just do research on the emerging disorders. Then it's night time! Hope it helps!

@@kanakrandheer of course mate, my number one piece of advice would be, do your papers and exams first thing. You can have time to do everything else later but you need to prioritise your lessons first. #2 would be to look around campus before your first day, it’s the absolute worst thing when you try to find your classes so I’d have a little tour of the place first. #3, be prepared for your professors to be extremely chill or super strict. Once you figure that out, you’re pretty much set. At the end of the day mate, just make sure you’re doing something you enjoy, not what’s expected of you.

Food = dog salivate Bell = No reaction By constantly ringing a bell and giving your dog food, they associate the bell ringin with food. Therefore. Bell ring = Food = Salivation Even if you don't give them Food, they end up Salivating. Smart reference.
If you wanted to study Psychology make sure you will study in Ivy league. And after free time. Go to library and read diverse books where you can apply to Psychology. Also read a lot of Statistics. Boom! You will be an influential and award-winning Psychologist in no time after 10-20 more years of putting your research to works and writing books about very scientific papers. Or even write a novel having a psychologist narrator where he narrates the development of the protagonist and how biases works, emotions and self-actualization etc. etc.
Psychology is an extremely wide, I am in my first year and we have 9 subjects. social, personality, history,developmental, researching methods, cognitive, media, biology and illneses.
