Hey OneOceanTen. Great content and love watching your vids. Just a tip for the airmed chopper, have it be situated at that airfield or airport in LS. It is a bit more practical and will put a person more into the mood of the episode.
The helicopter is stationed at the hospital, as many are around the United States. By me in NY, MEDIVACs are almost exclusively located at hospitals with a full crew in their own living area in the hospital. The exceptions are State Police and Sheriff, who also do medical flights but are stationed where ever they are.
OneOceanTen didn't know that but now i do, thanks. I know in the EU and here where i am from 95% of the Medivacs are stationed at the airport or have their own station. But i stilled enjoy the vid.

thats good that you drive around the speed limit because it is illegal to drive any faster than the limit in an ambulance unless you get special clearance and escort from police

Do you guys rp als and bls ambulances? Because I know you guys have 2 ambulances. Just curious
Both rigs are ALS. Basically, we RP it as we have a large enough state budget to provide 100% ALS care to our region.
Have you guys ever considered making a high speed unit for the police department? I think it would be really interesting to have a such a unit at the ready in case if a suspect is running around in a Lamborghini or something lol.
Or maybe even a heavy unit in case if someone's running in a semi truck
Well that's up to the LEO departments, I'm Fire and Civilian. But I know each of the LEO departments have subdivisions.

Geen is standard uniform, blue is Lieutenants and Captains, and white for chiefs. I don't like wearing the white though, lol
Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought you only shock if the patient is vfib not flat lined.
You are right, although defibralating can be done in other instances besides v fib, a flat line is not one, you very well could shock but it will do nothing, there is no activity to boost with a shock in a flat line.

Hey you dont have to do it but maybe when there are no vehicles around turn the siren off. That's what we do in my county when we are priority one. Or code 3.

You wouldnt park the way you did with the ambulance -- First piece should block traffic and ambulance should if not first on scene should park right in front where the engine was -- Nor would you use sirens on a highway or in that fact really anytime at night for "Due Regard"
You know protocol varies from place to place, right? Not use siren at night on highways? Lawyers would tear apart a department in court if an accident happened. "My client didn't hear a siren." That's a real life thing, too. I've personally seen that go to court. My state, and indeed, San Andreas in our fictional world here, requires that any emergency apparatus be running siren while in motion, within reason. (Example, if you're just moving the vehicle 50' that way, no need to turn it on.) Ambulances going to the hospital with non-critical/life threatened patients excluded, and police vehicles as well. As for blocking traffic and such, GTA traffic doesn't act like real traffic. We gotta play by a whole new set of rules to make it work on those roads. We can armchair firefighter this all day, but in the end, it's just a game. Chill.

And just to clarify, some insurance companies will fight a department tooth and nail to not cover the FD in an accident where they didn't have their siren on while rolling down the road. Again, IRL circumstances already witnessed.

at night all emergency vehicles need to shut off their lights, they impair the pilots vision.
Not if roadway safety is an issue. Not going to shut off all our lights on a dark, 70 MPH roadway. The MEDIVAC didn't notify us of using night vision.
my bad, most of the Landing zones i was at were in fields with no lighting, NORTHSTAR (NJSP) normally just wanted scene lights on the apparatus no flashing red or blue lights.
I hear ya! New York (where I am) is the same way but they know if we're on a major highway, they're not going to ask us to sacrifice scene safety if we've got the LZ lit well enough. They'll just advice us if they see anything from up there they want changed.
OneOceanTen gotcha bud, when my Rescue Squad was still open, we covered one of the busiest parts of RT.78 in Hunterdon County, NJ we landed NORTHSTAR more than once on the highway.
