Aura Sampayo, artista e ilustradora de Bucaramanga nos cuenta sobre la ilustración y su punto de vista sobre el arte gráfico.
"Siento más cercanía a la gente que propone realidades de consumo menos masivo, la gente está simpre dibujando estereotipos, dibujando cosas más irreales en ésta sociedad y se camuflan un montón de posiciones erróneas entre un aspecto muy agradable para mí que es la gráfica, entonces por mí misma intento no plasmar esos clichés como cosas que está bien dibujar, por así decirlo, a todo el mundo le gusta ver dibujado un animal tierno, una mujer bonita o un cuadro de frutas perfecto, pero realmente con todo el poder que tiene la ilustración podrían captarse imágenes más fuertes, más constructivas en nuestra sociedad, y darle a la ilustración el poder que merece".

"I feel closest to people who propound less mass consumerist realities, often people draw fake stuff in this society, the result is we have a lot of wrong positions disguised as pleasant ones, I think it is more about the graphics. I tried by myself to not draw those clichés like things that are good to draw, everyone loves to see a kind animal, a pretty woman or still life, but indeed with all the power of drawing is possible to create strongest images, more constructive for our society in order to empower the illustration as it deserves".
