How Much AdBlue Should My Car Use, The Hidden Cost, after buying a vehicle with add blue system it seems to use an awful lot, so I looked into how much it should use and the varying costs.
You don’t need to buy manufacturers AdBlue,
Any Branded make with British standards marking will work. It’s all the same, 65% Deionised water 35% Urea.
AdBlue is most expensive at Car Dealerships and Petrol stations, unless the station has a separate AdBlue pump, the best places to buy seem to be Online Amazon, Halford’s or car spares shops.

I viewed an E class bluetec yesterday and asked about Adblue as I'd never seen it. The sales person just mentioned it was to lower emissions, never mentioned how expensive they were. I'm glad I researched into this afterwards, think I'll be looking for another car.

just buy the 10 litre bottle, should do you two fills, 10 pound a bottle wont kill you but defiently useing more then the mileage its supposed to last

I’ve had my Audi A4 2.0 Ultra since April and covered 11,500 miles. The display has come up saying I have 2000 miles of adblue left. I’ve never filed the tank up yet. Added bonus of not having to pay road tax.

Very useful, thanks. At 2022 adblue costs around £20 for 10ltr on ebay with free postage. I just looked at my car spec ' a Citroen 2ltr hdi ' and was shocked the adblue tank is 17ltr, so a 1.5 ltr top up at £9 is Wow! - a mega rip off. Using ebay prices adblue adds around 2-3% to the cost of fuel for my car. Against this is the fact that I now get 500+ miles per tankful, and my previous 2ltr-i petrol car did less than 200 with less hp. For me diesel is by far the more cost effective option.

Around 13L liters of adblue can last around 15000km so you will only refill maybe once a year! So how cAn that be expensive??

A TANK OF ADBLUE IN MY MERCEDES TAKES ABOUT 10 LITRES, £12.50 FROM HALFORDS, ITS SUPPOSED TO LAST 8000 MILES AVERAGE BUT ITS ALERTING ME TO REQUIRE ADBLUE NOW, 450 MILES LEFT OF ADBLUE BUT MY TANK IS 40% FULL, SO I SHOULD HAVE A FEW THOUSAND LEFT NOT 450, I WASNT MADE AWARE OF THIS WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR, AND IF YOU EVER FORGET A TOP UP, YOUR CARS FOOKED
