The best thing about this vid is the munchkins helping and being a part of it. As a 40 yr dad my kids are pretty much grown so we don't get to do stuff like this much anymore. Please carish every second of it! I'm going to try the recipe by the way!

The whitish part of peppers is where the heat is. People say the seeds are hot, they really aren’t it’s like seeds from any fruit the juice coats the seed but once the juice is gone so is the sweet
Beautiful family man. Kudos on the kids and the pickled sausage. Save your extra brine in a jar for some quick pickled eggs or some such.

The heat going into the jar with the lid creates a vacuum so yupp it will seal...thanks for the recipe
Thank you for doing the taste test!! Best taste testers ever!! I am making these this weekend but with no hot sauce. And doing a 50/50 vinegar water brine. Mostly flavored with garlic, onion, and spices.

Slice your onions from Root to Stem, that way you break a lot less of the Onion's cells, and that way you give off a lot less of the Onions gasses and Liquids.

My uncle used to make 1/2 gallon jugs of pickled hot dogs, onions and hot peppers. No one would eat them but he and I...they were awesome.

Heyas Pratt Pack ! Glad you guys liked them... If you want more kick, start with Andouille sausage... Tony Chachere hot sauce will kick it up a notch too... And of course, "Seed In" jalapeno slices add a touch more heat... With are without eggs is certainly up to you... I've just gotten to where I can taste the egg in the sausage, and the sausage in the egg, so we usually make them with the same sauce, but separate jars... You'll just have to weigh that all out for yourselves (and your taste buds... lol)... Thanks so much for the shout ! Always appreciate that ! Hope y'all are well ! Thanks again Pratt Pack ! Enjoy !
Thank Mark. On the Jalapeno's I purposely left out the seeds so we didn't have a lot of heat on that one but got a lot of Jalapeno flavor!! I will definitely be putting seeds in at some point and trying to different sauces and stuff too!! Thanks for the idea!!

Are those sausages cooked. I read they need to be cooked first. Is that true.

They are pre cooked when I bought them. I would NOT do this with raw meat.

I'm a grandpa also and its a lot of work crawling around on all fours, when I'm tired I put a headset on the kid and play Puddles Pity Party, they love to watch that clown.
We are not fans of clowns here :)
Have you ever tried green tomatoes and sausages and when you pickle your eggs take a tooth pick and poke holes in the the eggs and the pickling brine will go into the eggs and the tomatoes too
