If you recall during Rukia's flashback with Kaien she was joining squad 13, afterwards she reported back to Byakuya and apologized that she was unable to get an officers seat. This wasn't due to her own lack of ability, but because Byakuya pulled some stings to keep her out of any potential danger that a seated officer might face. I really like this bit of info because it shows that Byakuya does care for Rukia and only seems heartless.

Rukia's zanpakuto "Sode no Shirayuki" translates to "Sleeved White Snow". It is the most beautiful zanpakuto in the whole of Soul Society
Currently, Rukia is in squad 13 aka Ukitake's squad and is unseated due to Byakuya pulling some strings. Byakuya does not want her to get promoted to a seated position, that way she will not be involved in dangerous missions.

The Arrancars can be seen as a mutation of Hollows. By breaking off part of their masks Hollows gain Soul Reaper powers. The natural progression of a Hallow is Gillian -> Adjuchas -> Vasto Lorde. Think of it like pokemon evolution where its a next stage in their life and power growth. At any point they can become Arrancars and gain vastly more power. That said a Vasto Lorde Arrancar will be more powerful than a Gillian Arrancar. Because the Vasto Lorde was already starting with a lot of power before getting the Arrancar boost. Its why Grimjow and Co are vastly stronger as Arrancars than Grand Fisher was. Grimmjow and Co are at a higher tier in life than Grand Fisher who I don't think was even a Gillian class he was just a random foot soldier hollow.
15:15 Actualy, only 4 of Espada were Vasto Lorde before Aizen meet them. Others where turned by Hogyoku power from Adjucas (and 1 and only 1 of espada from Gilian, but he's a special case...)...
Not all Arrancars are Vasto Lorde, but most of Espada are on captain level/similiar to captain level.

Just to clarify something: not all Arrancar were Vasto Lordes class Menos. It's confusing because the group of Arrancar Aizen has is shown directly after Hitsugaya was explaining all of that and if Aizen managed to get 10 Vasto Lordes it could be a disaster. Only some of the strongest Arrancar are ever confirmed to be Vasto Lordes, most of the ones we see were Adjuchas.
So to clear up any misconceptions Rukia's zampakto isn't exactly ice like Toshiro's. Her zampakto affects the temperature and can pretty much affect anything in the atmosphere within that circle.
yeah you know that thing she could have used against the hollow in episode 1 instead of doing all the giving Ichigo her powers stuff.

Aand yeah, considering all the two digits guys don't have the animation of the reiatsu like "raining down" on everyone, it seems like single digits guys are the real bad news, which means only Grimmjow for now. Could be worse, but we also only have one captain + Ichigo, so it might be kinda tight.
