  • 7 Months ago i asked the original creator of this flourish Dimitri Arleri if i could make a tip video explaining the 360 concept since in his original tutorial it was only 180 and used a significantly worse technique than most people actually use today.
    He responded saying that he would make an updated tutorial when he released his new deck, that was 7 months ago.
    I have gotten endless amounts of requests to teach this but i didn't want to be total asshole to Dimitri. But at this point it has been so long and nothing has happened so here it is.

    I was in a long car ride and spent three hours teaching myself this move after vaguely watching a video a while back. I didn't know arm movement was a thing but it should help with consistency, otherwise 3 hours is all you need to master it.

    Amazing skills! tutorial and audio! I just subscribed! Thought id never be able to do this but you helped me get the basics and in just a few days I'm getting a full 360! just don't look that good yet!! one thing you didn't mention is that the middle and ring finger has to get out of the way for the cards to go all the way round but I kinda worked that out for my self! keep up the good work and I'll stay tuned! thanks

    • @kevinkrlsn
      @kevinkrlsn  Před 7 lety

      phil mcguire Glad it helped! I actually don't move my middle finger and ring finger out of the way as you can tell by the performance, if you have the right grip you don't need to but i guess that depends from person to person.

      @philmcguire7346 Před 7 lety

      Thanks Kevin! I've noticed that my fan is a lot thicker and that's why I'm having to move those fingers and probably why it doesn't look to pretty yet... lots of work to put into this move, it could take a long time to get it as good as your performance, you make it look so easy and execute it with pure precision and beauty I just love it!! to those of you struggling be patient and keep practicing! this has to be the best looking fan out there and your not going to get it handed on a plate for you!

      Try to play around with it, the pressure is a big part of it but also try to adjust your angle. Too much Angle makes the cards fall and too little makes them stay in the same place, try to find the perfect balance.

  • @hakumoku808
    @hakumoku808 Před 8 lety

    do it with your pointer, there's less movement therefore less chance for the cards to fall.
    No need for arm movement, just play with the angle of the cards being dribbled, angle is a huge part in making it look effortless.

    • @hakumoku808
      @hakumoku808 Před 8 lety

      good video though

    • @kevinkrlsn
      @kevinkrlsn  Před 8 lety

      Doing it with the index has it's flaws, when you do it with your index theres a greater chance for the fan to knock in to your other 3 fingers as the fan is being made. Also how is there "less chance" for the cards to fall on your index? If they do fall i have the exact same chance of catching them with the 4 fingers under as i would if i would do it with the index. I only use arm movement for 540 riffle fans or more, when i do it normally i use no arm motion and i stop at exactly 360 as you can see in the beginning of the video.

    • @hakumoku808
      @hakumoku808 Před 8 lety

      +Kevin Karlsson the thumb requires extra movement to hold the fan after it fans out, but using the pointer allow you to grip the fan (with the thumb) by just placing it down on top. i didn't mean your thumb was a bad way, i just haven't practised with my thumb so by looking at the video it looks like there can be instability when finishing it.
      The 540 can be achieved by starting with a quick dribble at a 45° and slowly lowering it to the horizontal plane as it nears the end of the cards.
      anywho, do you know a good way to close the vad fan?
