I love Robin's voice - although Barry was often featured, I feel like Robin's unique vibrato/quiver was a major contribution to their sound, and also Maurice - the younger twins didn't get enough credit (in my opinion) to their success -- b/c Robin is my fave, I especially love: "I started a Joke" (which he originally sang at the age of EIGHTEEN - (and sang also perfectly many years later) - and "I've Gotta Get a Message to You" - both of which have super-ridiculous videos - but, hey - that was way before "technology" - lol

@OVUADA OKPEN Okay beautiful check this out, the group the Bee Gees were brothers. All 3 brothers have falsetto range which made them that more talented. The Bee Gees have been recording as a group since the early 60's. The group became even more popular in the 70's. Their music could easily stand up today in rotation on any R&B or Soft Rock Radio station. Sadly Barry Gibb the lead singer is the only brother still alive. The youngest brother Andy Gibb not in the group, but a great solo artist in his own right passed away first. Maurice Gibb passed away then Robin Gibb passed away leaving only Barry. Check out Andy Gibb and his hit song called DON'T THROW IT ALL AWAY, it won't disappoint.
And there is Lesley, the oldest of all the brothers. She was 76 yrs old back in January, 2021. When their 3 brothers had passed, he said he called her and said, "It's just you and me, luv."

Their cover has too much drama!) --- You Should Be Dancing (Andy joins them on stage for this one. They have on silver outfits) They wrote ALL of their songs!
(1) Maurice - (short hair - right) pronounced Morris. While on his way to surgery for his intestines, he had a heart attack, yet the doctors operated anyway. (I heard Barry say this in a video.) He was in the hospital for a few days! Maurice passed in 2003, at the age of 53.
(2) Robin (long hair - left) passed in 2012 from cancer, at the age of 62. He and Barry complimented each other with their voices. Robin and Maurice were fraternal twins.
(3) Andy, (not pictured) the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He passed in 1988, at the age of 30, from inflammation of the muscles around his heart. He and Barry could had passed as twins, even though he was 12 yrs younger than Barry. The 3 brothers were also married and had children.
(4) Barry (lead singer - middle) said, "I am the last man standing." Barry is the eldest of the brothers. On September 1, 2021, he and his wife, Linda will celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary, which will also be Barry's 75th birthday. They have 5 adult children, and 7 grandchildren (some reports say 8.) The Bee Gees have sold over 220 million records worldwide (more by now.) They were also writers for other musical artists. On several videos, Barry and Maurice said they liked R & B music. He liked the sounds of the lead singers of the Stylistics and the Delfonics. Also Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons, and the Beach Boys. Their father, also a musician, liked the music of the Mills Brothers. Their mother played the piano.
On a side note, their sister, Lesley is the first born. She was 76, January, 2021. She lives a quiet life with her family.

A little info for you, Barry is the one in the center, Robin is on the right and Maurice is on the left, Robin and Maurice were twins. Barry is the oldest and Robin and Maurice along with their younger brother Andy have all passed away now, Barry is the only one left of the Gibb brothers. They were extremely talented musicians and song writers. Their harmonies were beyond compare. The closest I've seen to matching their harmonies is the brother group of Hanson but even they can't quite match the Bee Gees harmonies.

This some always reminds me of a song by the Stylistics called “People Make The World Go Round”. Any song The Stylistics do is also amazing this was the late 60’s early to mid 70’s
Yes. On several occasions, they stated they liked R & B music. He also said they never considered their music to be disco. All of the songs in 'Saturday Night Fever' had be written to be used in their own project. They also like the Delfonics. The Stylistics and Delfonics are from Philadelphia, PA (my home town 😁) They also like the voice of Frankie Vallie (of the Four Seasons.) This may be why he recorded 'Grease Is The Word.'
'Too Much Heaven' was released one year after I was married. But we used songs from the Stylistics. 'Betcha By Golly, WOW' and 'You Are Everything.'

The Stylistics were my fave! “People Make The World Go Round” is the song that reminds me of this song. Their Falsetto voices were not to be played with! And back then all male groups had to have a strong bass voice and a strong falsetto to carry their songs.
It was all about being part of a group back in the day. Being a solo artist was a harder life.
My favorite group as a baby girl was The Temptations. Eddie Kendrick’s falsetto was like freshly washed linen so clean and pure!!
But back in the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s record labels purposely remade black groups songs over with white groups to sell to white people. It was segregated music...black music was called “Race Music” or “N---music ”.
It was horrible for the Fam back in the day!
