Gambling addiction sucks and destroys your soul
Gambling destroys so many people’s lives . It shouldn’t be allowed. Gambling shouldn’t exist. Imagine how much better the world would be without it
100% but I guess its just an evil we have to live with, and try to help as many people as we can. 😔
I agree mate well said gambling is one of the worst addiction someone can have because the suicide rate is the highest among all other addictions it's the devil like any other addiction the sooner you free yourself from gambling and that evil spirit the better your life will be
I disagree, I gamble for fun. I have a preset limit that I go into the casino with that I can afford to lose.
Once it is gone then I leave, sometimes I leave with more then I came in with but, the most important thing to me is that I have fun.
I know people that spend thousands going to sporting events each year and to me that is a waste of money but, as long as they can afford it and have fun doing it then who am I to judge.
Gambling should be for entertainment only and it is just like anything else you have to have a little self control.
But to just throw out a blanket statement saying it shouldn't exist or be allowed is just silly.
@@DerekBearzi could u plsss help me i a gambling addict to i dont know how to recover mybself
It is worst than ilegal drugs, it shouldn't be legal
Thanks so much for sharing bro. I’ve lost so much money it’s sickening. I’m quitting and want to start over correctly
Can’t thank you enough for this video. Helps people when they realize they’re not alone in their struggle.
Hey bro glad to hear the gambling vids are helping. There's lots of us in the world struggling with the same problems. It's always nice to hear when we're making a difference
Thank man you help me get over my addiction
Glad to help!
Best video out there... you stay to the point and the calls to action and solutions are outlined thoroughly. Derek you are an incredible inspiration and your story helps so many others as well.
Vulnerability is a super power brother.
Whats up bro, keep the sobriety vids coming
I’ve lost all my savings and the money that I didn’t have in the casino. I can’t believe it and i’m afraid of going back as soon as I have more money. I don’t know what to do and I’m ashamed to tell others, it’s so terrifying.😊
I know how you feel
Casinos offer self exclusions you might look into it as a form of self help. Its very effective.
I’m guessing you used the wrong emoji there lol.
This is so good! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Strong message bro! I'm currently going through it as well. Praying also helps 🙏
Thanks David! Hope all is well bro
Very well informed video. So many key things I can relate to, as well as good advice defeating and moving forward away from gambling addiction.
I'm glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this Derek it was a huge help to feel your sincerity and honesty. I appreciate you and I wish you all the good things life has to offer.
I appreciate the kind words! Just trying to share my story in hopes of reaching those with gambling addictions.
This is an excellent video. The one thought that popped into my head while watching your video, is that there is enough time left in most gamblers' lives to quit gambling and build wealth. Gambling is icky and will bring you down. Use your money for bills and things you need when they wear out. Save the rest. And if you can save that same money that use to go towards gambling for ten or twenty years, you will be doing just fine.
Great great video!!
Kudos to you for having the courage to turn your life around. I wonder if those in later years, as in the early 70s, who say it's just not worth going through the fix and just stay with their own status quo.
thanks buddy i really appreciate it.
Anytime bro
One thing I find really helpful (that I wish I had started doing a long time ago) is using budgeting software to track and categorize all of my income and expenses. It can quickly paint a very clear picture of where your money is going, and hopefully will put some things into perspective to help you make better financial decisions moving foward.
Whats up JAKEY good tips bro. A lot of ppl prob need to do this especially with inflation. Times are tough out here
Which software do you use?
Which software do you use?

I'm really moved. Ty bto
I'm 39 in mothers basement addicted to lottery scratch offs and casino losing everything on the verge of being homeless 😢
Never too late to make a change. Make it a goal to quit before your 40th birthday. All the best
Thank you for this video. I'm going to try.
Great video dude!!
Thank you bro
Down $5k and 180 hours of time playing poker this year. I’ve been fleeing from working on my new businesses. Drastically cutting my hours back and retiring from PLO and NL games in my state
Bro I want one job please help me
Gambling is great fun.
when you win ,you dont need to quit
i started gambling when i was 16 when i lost my job because of lockdown and wanted to make extra money, i’m 19 now and down probably around 15-20k in 3 years I need to stop before i hit my 20s or i’m gonna ruin my life
End the bad habit today bro. You're still super young, don't let gambling ruin your future
I’m down 7 k in one year I’m done we all can stop seek change
Today's Wins are Tomorrow's Losses 😢
What about the compulsion feelings or the “what if” thoughts, do they get less strong as you manage to maintain the good habits, and focus on other things?
Gambling sucks!!!
I'm deciding to stop this early at 20 years old before it gets out of control. My bank statements with medical expenses are already bad enough. I probably haven't spent a thousand in total on gambling yet but my guess is at least a few hundred.
Great perspective dude. Hundreds can turn into thousands pretty quickly. At that point it becomes even harder to stop.
@@DerekBearzi Thank you. I’m trying to take care of things bothering me now and to set up healthier habits, physically and mentally.
Man, I just have a problem with a family member gambling I don't gamble myself I never saw the need besides, seeing how it all works with like penny slots and online gambling in video games for stupid items. Does anyone know how they can convince a family member to stop? They're really stubborn about changing their ways, it is probably like a 30 year something addiction for them. Does anyone know how to talk to someone older like that about stopping their addiction?
Sadly for people that have been this way for 30 years, its going to be near impossible to convince them to change. They need to be willing to make the change themselves. Or maybe some kind of family intervention would help
My friends continuously show off their winnings on betting sites and say I should try. I have stopped for a while. Went back in the betting app, and lost immediately the small amount I put in.
My friends are pressuring me to do it. Last time I told them, it is not worth it, they laughed their asses off.
What I do now?
You should disassociate from them. They will keep you tied down to a lifestyle you no longer want. Gambling is such a deep hole, you keep digging with the hope of a big payoff that never comes and when it does, you give it all back. Stop digging the hole. I just filled out my self-exclusion form today after over 10 yrs of gambling my paychecks = working for free.
Also, realize, your "friends" are not showing off their losses - which are always more than any winnings. The house always wins.
Gambling is like cancer I’m down 60k in 2 years
Clearly this pertains to really just “losing” gambler 😏
Thank you for this video. I needed to come across it, God bless you.
Glad it was helpful!
What’s easier… quitting gambling or quitting smoking
I've never smoked before, but I'd imagine an addiction to nicotine? would be a lot harder to kick
Gambling 100%
@@DerekBearzi Trust me we can easily replace smoking with anything else and it's not that hard to quit compared to gambling which gives you false hope
