Turpu Padamara as the name says - East & West was originally made as Apoorva Raagangal in Tamil during the year 1975 by K Balachander. Apporva Raagangal as Turpu Padamara was an official remake by Dasari Narayana Rao Garu. There is a famous saying in English which says Love is Blind - This phrase rightly describes this movie. This movie portrays the relationship between people with wide age gaps. Turpu Padamara revolves around 4 characters predominantly - Murali Mohan Garu & Narasimharaju Garu along with Srividhya & Madhavi Garu. While this movie was controversial upon release, challenging Indian social values - later the same was appreciated and became a commercial hit.
