Whats really funny to me is that we've had multiple "supereruptions" in living memory. Mt. Pinatubo, for example, went off in 1991. The Phillipines does, in fact, still exist.

Honestly what's more unnerving at first is that "most stations" will stay on the air, and then they're all going off air. So trying to find something is stressful. A suggestion I might make there, is some of those should already have been off air by the time they were reached. I think anyone looking for a functional channel would hear "cease broadcasting" and move on, and run into dead channels sooner. Otherwise sound idea and execution

just some small corrections, KYW-TV was a UPN affiliate, since the CW didn't exist until 2006 (someone has alr pointed this out but just wanted to make sure), and Disney XD didn't exist until 2009, it was then called Toon Disney.

I think CNN would still be on the air. Ted Turner insisted that it would stay on until the end of the world-and he still had some say in the channel at the time. (Perhaps it may be airing the video scheduled for the end of the world- a recording of the Army Transport Command band playing “Nearer, My God, To Thee”.)

Not a bad scenario. I would like to point out that KYW-TV is on channel 3, not 8, though. Plus, Channel 57 in Philly was affiliated with UPN in 2001, as the CW didn’t exist until 2006. Otherwise, this was quite a neat little video you made here.
