these vlogs were so fun to watch!! it's always so interesting to hear other people's writing processes.
I have the same bad habit of under-describing things and how I sometimes try and combat it is if I am trying to describe a specific place (like an apartment or something) I'll take out a notebook and write ONLY about what the place looks like/feels like and then I'll try and interweave it into the story. It's super tedious but it's legit the only way I can get myself to properly describe anything lol
This was so much fun to watch! I love how relatable your experiences in this vlog are. Even though I've never tried writing a novel before, the struggles you have with getting distracted, feeling (un)inspired, etc are something that I relate to so much!

Making Pinterest boards, visiting baby name sites, browsing Twitter and social media while you are writing, and being distracted constantly are all NATURAL. Trust me ;) Good for you to branching out. I hope it will be a fun and unique experience for you! I do Camp and regular every year.

Writer's Block is the best thing ever!!! It saved my life and academic career.
Zoe!! Download on your mac an app called 'self control' you can block certain websites for a certain amount of time. I use it when I need to focus, it's brilliant!!

I feel like when it comes to description play with two senses. like if it's a hospital room you can say it smells like bleach and the floors are scrubbed clean like they're trying to hide a recent sickness and add adjectives depending on the tone. that way you get a feeling and a description of the room without too much imagery
Ah, the scrap-everything-you-have-and-write-a-new-story phase. I get that all the time. I think it's a good idea, but then I start thinking about it harder and longer, and then I'm like, "Yeah, this idea *sucks*."

I used to write novels all the time especially in middle school but I've stopped and your video is really inspiring me to start writing again! Now all I need is that grand "milkshake moment" that you had and I'll be set hahaah xD
That is my biggest writing fears is over describing too, I hate describing things because of it.
Also if I can offers some advice for when you are suffering from writing block is try writing a chapter in a different characters POV, it has always worked for me. Maybe it will work for you.
i'm so happy that you're worrying about making it diverse, because there's a lot of other booktubers writing books right now and that doesn't seem to be something they think about.

Have you ever thought about writing plays or something because of how you like dialogue? I have the opposite problem, I LOVE description and love writing it!

If you're getting distracted, try to block out noise with music (with no lyrics if that distracts you as much as me). Also maybe download FocusWriter, which doesn't allow you to go on other sites. I love the idea of the blocking app! I'm off to download that now.

If you want to find character names, I really like using Behindthename, it's a great website that tells you the meaning of each name, which helps with symbolism and whatnot :)
You should talk about your music taste/what you listen to when you write!!!
