I’ve seen everyone commenting on the quality of the first 3 songs but no one has mentioned Dead Eyes. That might be the my favorite song. The weird, dreamy, ethereal, sonic, landscape that suddenly explodes into the heaviest riff on this record!
Not trying to be pretentious and stuff, but I remember being the only one listening to this in high school being 15 years old and not having a fucking idea about how important this was going to be right now. Its been almost a decade and rediscovering this makes life worth living and makes me more grateful for everything that's happened, even the fucked up shit. This is beautiful and Im not even on drugs.
I remember driving across Kansas and Oklahoma as the sun went down, and somehow this song coupled with the empty vastness that is the western plains both comforted and scared me.
Dude this music..... what the fuck, man. It's like the audio equivalence of opiate bliss. It just kind of cradles you, letting you hover in that bliss-space where things are still and silent and warm. What a fucking sound.
Indeed it sounds like something between those bands and i also love both bands! I think Jesu has been influenced by The Cure. I thought i remember reading somewhere that Justin likes The Cure :)
It's not meant to be pleasant, but if your ears hurt, then you might want to listen to something less heavy until you get used to it. You're not wrong tho. I'm about to see them live this september and I've just bought a pair of earplugs to protect my hearing, because they are incredibly loud.
so fucking good. If any of you guys have the time check this tune out I wrote...people say its very Jesu-ish. It wasnt my intention at the time. I was honestly thinking a more ethereal Type O sound. soundcloud.com/lyricfivemusic/omega-vague-from-the-outside-new-2016-track
One night in S.F., off Post and Hyde, before an U.N.K.L.E show with my girlfriend Harmony, I thought I could eat the moon. I was a wolf. Harmony turned out to be a waitress from Perry's on Union St. She was alright. I think I turned her into a drunk. Like I was. This song makes me feel alive, like I really do live in a hobbit house. And that's ok. Hobbits are ok. I think Hobbits shouldn't have their asses kicked, or be molested. But Hobbits shouldn't have names capitalized, or be subjected to capitol punishment(sp?). Whoops, this is a spelling disaster. I can't stop destroying my own spelling mistakes, and can't keep making spelling disasters. This spells aster, and this dis is faster than spelling can plaster. Over 891 Post #301 Daschiell Hamsters. .....this effin' white 'effin couch anagram is a masterpiece, a bed of fleas, before I see U.N.K.L.E at Avalon.....yoooooooooooooooooooooo.......fuckerzzzzzzzzzzzz
This album has helped me through some tough situations. I love how it incorporates metal and shoegaze in a foggy and atmospheric way.

This album drifts in and out of my life at exactly the right times.
Every time I get scared about getting old I listen to this. Works every time. Goddamn this man is a blessing
The ultimate music for riding my mountain bike in below-freezing weather along the grim shores of Lake Superior!!!

A new friend of mine just introduced me to Jesu. Very grateful in this moment.
This EP is emotionally draining in the most beautiful way. What an honest and raw slab of aural bliss.
This will be regularly revisited by me until I die.
I did die for a couple of hours, but I'm back😄
Keep on keeping on SC me old chap

The pinnacle of creativity, inspiration, and enlightenment. That is Silver
Only just discovered Jesu , bloody hell absolutely epic music ! Already one of my favourite artists ever.
You should def check out Godflesh. The main band/project from Justin. Heavier stuff but still epic music!
Broadrick is nuts. Honestly one of the best composers in history - this sounds somewhat ridiculous but it's true
I have to commend the artwork choices for Jesu albums, they always set the tone of the album and conjure a strong visual landscape in your mind.
This album grabbed and pulled me out when I was deep down in a ditch. I got to thank Justin for creating real miracles in this physical plane.
Star absolutely crushes me every time I hear it. This EP is life-changing.
Probably one of the best openers ever. Band Fucking rips always. Cry every time. Cheers

This EP is life affirming, absolutely beautiful
"Wolves" is one of the most beautiful songs ever written
The beauty & the pain, that 's what Jesu & Justin have always been about. The ying & yang of those 2 emotions, displays it so well through his music.

loving this album. "star" sounds like a cross between Godflesh and The Cure: what a crazy combo, but I like it :)

I can understand not seeing the appeal of Sunn O))) and drone metal, but what makes you *really hate* them?
