In this Born Different special, we meet three sets of conjoined twins. 18-year-old Neev and Nelly are attached by the back of the head and have clever ways of doing simple tasks such as watching TV. Shivanath and Shivram from India have no regrets in declining separation surgery. And in Utah live sisters Kendra and Maliyah who were born conjoined but underwent separation surgery when they were four.

My son was born with a terminal illness and what I’ve learned from him has been so many wonderful things! Love, laughter, acceptance, understanding, etc. kids with challenges always are blessed in unmeasurable ways, as are their parents . You are strong enough to do it, and do it beautifully.

It’s really amazing how they learned to do everything just in their own way. It’s really a testament to our abilities as human beings to overcome pretty much anything! Such sweet girls, I wish them the best life has to offer!

I know it’s no excuse, but people stare out of curiosity. They are curious how you did things together and separately. It’s not every day that you meet conjoined twins. Many of us will never meet them. I think curiosity is a natural feeling and where children will just blurt out what they are thinking, adults are more reserved not always realizing they are being rude. I love watching how these beautiful people live their daily lives. I enjoy learning about each individual case, what their connection is, how they function together and separately, ect.
I am very glad these parents all had their children!!! Every child deserves a chance for life, regardless of the length of it on this earth!!!
People are too self conscious about staring. I stare at people all the time. “Normal” looking or otherwise. It’s not a judgmental thing it’s, like you said, curiosity.

The first two are so funny. I cracked up when the one threw her hands up as her sister drags her in another room. They have a unique view on the world. They would make great stand up comedy! They could make millions and take awareness at the same time!

We always like to think how hard their lives are. I once asked a very bow-legged woman how hard it was for her to walk. She told me simply 'it's not hard. I was born this way.' We see disability, but perhaps for them, this life is just fine, albeit different. Never judge a book by its cover.
Extraordinary kids and parents, I hope they all live long and happy lives.
They might be conjoined, and it might seem sad, but these girls are living a good life. They love each other, they're happy, and beautiful ❤️💕❤️

Yes, this is how a pair of adult conjoined twins passed. One twin had died, still attached, and shortly after the living one died due to the decaying blood from the other.

When Chang and Eng Bunker came to die, my Mother told me as a child, it was awful. You see your twin die, which whom you shared each second. And you know you have to die now too. It takes a few hours.
And one of them both died- he had lead an unhealthy life, though the other begged him not to do so since it cut his life short, too-, they lay in bed and the poor surviving one only could wait that death will come to him, too.
And short before it finally happened, that poor surviving one saw weird things and screamed in hellish fear:' he reaches for me! He reaches for me!".
My Mother said it was his poisoned blood what made him see this.
And often it is said the second dies because the blood cannot circulate when one is dead. Anyhow; often you can hear they give today strong medicine to the survivor, so these last hours can be spend in peace. I WISHED they could separate them if one dies, but it seems this is not possible.
That story of Chang and Eng haunted me as a child.
@Emma Beaumont Why is it a stupid question? The parents have no power to save the remaining, living twin. It's not as if any surgery is going to help at that point. Once a body dies, it decays fast.

I think I might’ve actually met Nelly and Neeva! I was going to help out my grandma at a gymnasium specially made for special needs people and they were helping with the activities as well, I didn’t get to talk to them since it was quite busy but they looked like they were having fun and my grandma found them super kind :)
I respect them so much and I am so happy for them. They are so strong and so optimistic!

Neev and Nellie AND Rosianne. These three woman are WONDERFUL! I hope and pray they're happy and healthy and having fun for many years to come. I've seen this story on them before, but wanted to watch it again to be uplifted by their positive, hopeful, optomistic, profoundly insightful and funny personalities.

Callie and Carter's parents are TERRIFIC!!!! Most young parents would be overwhelmed with typical twins or even one new baby. And these two are great with "special" twins as they call them. Good on them!

They are just 2 more human beings on this earth. They may have special and rare circumstances to deal with but it looks like those 2 are thinking about living life to the fullest as they are nothing but smiles through the whole video. It really speaks to the strength and resolve of those 2 young amazing women that they want to educate people about their condition and not let it make them want to hide from the world. Think I just found my vote for women of the year!!

I think they’re really cool! They teach you how to work and live cooperatively. If someone is mean or rude, it tells about their lack of character, not about the girls!

I for one seem to complain about alot of things in my life which are really nothing at all.
After watching this there will be no more complaints from me.
I have the upmost respect for these people, not only for how the way they deal with day to day life but also seem pretty happy and do just fine,, and for the parents who lets not forget are pure angels.

it just occurred to me that if one of the twins died first, the other would have to carry around their brother's or sister's corpse. this is very sad and I feel really sorry for those who have to deal with this.
It’s more likely that they’d both die within minutes of each other. If ones health starts to deteriorate the other would follow
