  • How far can I jump my Traxxas Bandit rc car?
    Traxxas Bandit durability test.
    Traxxas big bore shock durability test.
    The aim is to push the limits of the Traxxas Bandit and hopefully someone else can come along and do a longer jump with their Bandit.
    The record attempt is for the 2wd Traxxas Bandit.
    The car must land and drive away for a legal jump.
    This video was made while working away from home in sunny Gladstone, Queensland.
    Video sample footage was taken from the following CZcams channels:
    * RC Driver / @rcdriver
    * Traxxas / @traxxas
    * RC TNT / @rctnt
    Check out their channels. I watch their content there's lots of good information there.

    Great job putting this video together. I can't believe how well the Bandit held up.

      Yeah same here. I guess you need a bit of luck as well. I was thinking the weather in this video was amazing like low mid 20 degrees (Celcius) and lots of plastic components on the car. Maybe all that plastic and nice weather helped the car flex?

      They are awesome fun, durable, easy to work on and parts are super easy to get. Which Bandit are you thinking about getting?

    4WD is more beginner friendly but i think learning to drive a 2WD buggy from the getgo is the best way to learn RC, they're the most nimble, if you can wheel a 2wd buggy you can wheel anything

      Yeah man it's been a lot of fun learning to jump a 2wd car. I plan on getting 4wd in the future but at the moment having a lot of fun with 2wd

      I drive very good at drifting. Have worked all my life with excavator. So always have good feelings in my arms/hand. What 2 wd rc should i buy? I like all type of rc cars.

    Those screws come out of brand-new Rustlers too. It's a Traxxas thing.

      Yeah it's a bummer. I now take a lot of screws out with me just in case. I use a touch of lock tite medium strength that seems to help a lot

    2WDs jump as good as 4WDs. I remember my Arrma BLX 2WD (the old one) was the first car I did triple backflips with. 2WD Stampede is great for flips as well. Bigger cars are more staple in the air because of the weight.

    Good work Sash! You're nearly there mate! Look forward to your triumphant return to the jump circuit! That poor car... I can't wait to see the new battery version doing 20+m flips. 😂

    I don't get why people hate on the bandit. Frankly, on a racetrack it takes way more skills to be fast with a bandit than a revo for example. (I did own both)
    I got a brushed Bandit with a pinion swap and I love racing it. Sticking to a good line and highest speeds through corners is not a simple job.
    Could it be too hard to drive so people hate it?

      I'm surprised at how much fun this car is. With all the options to mod it it's a lot of fun. Very durable in my opinion. Worst thing is the screws coming loose after a full battery pack

    Are you keeping the throttle wide open after the car is in the air?

    • @Sash77....oldmanradic
      @Sash77....oldmanradic  Před měsícem +1

      Yeah most of the time. I'm usually experimenting with what time exactly to let go of the throttle without loosing too much speed
