What a gorgeous theater. Incredible is right. Amazing. Such a clean and minimalist design. If you don't love this theater you hate life.
Thanks Tristan for watching as always. Only wish I could have filmed this one in person to experience it for myself but we are not allowed into Western Australia yet.
🙈If you like what you see, why not become a member of the Build Montage family and hit the JOIN button!
Wow! Absolutely beautiful. Love the modern design. Right up my alley.

Wow, very nice, super nice design, great video. Greetings from Austria (Europe)
Thanks for watching Dan, hope you and your family are doing ok over in Austria.
Love it!! I’m hungry for more on this setup. I could spend half an hour just looking at the rack and the cable management. ☺️👍🏻
Trust me when i say as an enthusiest you could easily spend hours admiring this room!
@@martinbailey3408 I don’t doubt it. I love the finer details of systems and could happily soak up loads more info on this amazing room. ☺️👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Dan. The racks and cable management were a labour of love for us. They had to be perfect.
We will make a follow up with more footage and details soon on our Facebook page 😀
I have more footage of the back of the rack, but I had an objective with this tour and it had to flow so I couldn't linger too much. I may post something in Discord if you're interested.
@@BuildMontage hell yes. I’ll take that action. :-)
Nice setup
That's a beautiful room. I just need to hit the lottery to get something like that, haha.
Jeez talk about being a wealthy audiophile, love the setup!
Nice
Woah! Going from nothing to *that* is insane! That's an incredible theater. Super incredible to see
Wait till we do your room mate! :D
@@BuildMontage haha man it can't compete with this!
@@BradleyAshley Your room is going to be impressive mate - Acoustics as surrounds is going to look beefy!
@@BuildMontage😁😁😁😁
@@BradleyAshley hey buddy I’m Matt how’s it going
Amazing video as always, Iam on the fence and i would love to hear your input on a few things :
1) How does the Krix Theatrix compare with your MX ?
2) How does the Krix Hyperphonix 45 compares with your Krix in-ceiling
3) Did he run his front channels as full range ?
I do wish you personally visited this home theater and listened to his set-up to tell me how it compares with yours.
:D
Amazing video tour Tony. Thanks again. We're here to answer any questions about this build. Just reach out 🙂
Josh
Very nice, I'd love the opportunity to audition this room - particularly the Krix Theatrix, a solid ~$150K room conservatively ? very nice though, end game stuff, congratulations and enjoy my man, that's a bucket list home theatre achieved.
Thats my dream wish i could have that😭
Big fan of sarkis now yours
Thanks for watching :) I've been making remote home theater tours for a while now... glad you found my channel!
Tony, congratularions for the excellent video. Your video edition skills are insane and your passion for home theater contagious. I was wondering if you could inform yourself and tell us the materials used to build that acoustic star ceiling.
Thank you.
Thank you for the kind words, and yes, star ceiling - I'm not sure what this one is made of but I do have a video on my channel where I made one using acoustic pinboard if you wanted to check it out: czcams.com/video/x47E3ACCBrc/video.html
Hi Ricardo. The Acoustic star ceiling is custom made from 600x600mm acoustic panels mounted to metal rails on the ceiling. The panels are preconfigured with fibre optic star lights in a grid style layout and fitted on site. Hope that helps
Will this setup be able to use the Phillips hue tv gradient light strip setup?
This looks like the Build Montage theatre! Very nice..... I'm a bit jealous as A - I want to upgrade to Krix speakers and B - I want to visit WA for holidays but we're locked out😔. You guys have the best beaches!
Yes I would have loved to have flown there to film but you need 3 jabs I think...
@@BuildMontage My husband got his third jab yesterday. He can barely move his arm which I'm sure he's using as excuse to not stack the dishwasher or vacuum🥺. He can still use the remote to watch the cricket and hold a beer can though!!!
Krix, the Klipsch of Australia.
I wouldnt even compare them mate! 👍
Don't know if this is true haha! The both start with "K" and that's probably about it... (just poking fun, I used to have Klipsch :D)
Bastard stole my dream design 😀. So jelly. Looks awesome.
Trademarked design Hifi Hunter 2021 😂
Could you give specifics on paint colors?
Looks like this guy got a lot of Australian Rubles.
LOL
That’s a beautiful black color, what’s the color name & brand
This room is clean and beautiful, the only thing I would have done differently would be showing the left and right speakers, they are really beautiful and would love to show them, but I guess that would defeat the purpose of having an acoustically transparent screen
Yes, this is the dilemma of having BTS - but a hinge could fix that I guess!
Beautiful build Tony, thank you for posting this up. What Discord user is Darren, I do not think I have seen this space before?
Darren's not on Discord - he's on a local group in Australia on Facebook, and we connected through Marty who is on Discord.
@@BuildMontage very nice, please send my compliments on the clean build, I love the panels in the back.
Will do mate
Awesome. I wish i could find a professional installer in my area. Ive got a room, money, but no help!
Where are you located?
@@BuildMontage US, South Georgia area.
hi there / hello Tony : if you have the suitable AV receiver & speakers: do you still need a film to be Dolby Atmos to enjoy this feature? sorry for this silly question. sometimes this is advertised by Netflix e.g.
Hey there - not a silly question at all :) So, the best thing about modern receivers is that they can upmix sound - such as DTS: Neural X - which can simulate overhead effects from a 5.1 track and add the appropriate sound to those speakers. It's pretty crazy how it seems to know, but I often enjoy 5.1 or 7.1 tracks with Neural X enabled on my receiver (Casino Royale is a good example!) and that means you can enjoy multi channel audio from content that wasn't specifically mixed for object based sound.
Hey, I know i have asked this before without replay but could you please answer the following :
1) How does the Krix Theatrix compare with your MX ?
2) How does the Krix Hyperphonix 45 compares with your Krix in-ceiling
Iam on the fence and not sure if i should go MX or Theatrix ( i have 7m x 4.2m )
Your question is a little out of scope for me and for the video. I'm not able to provide you with the answers to your questions as there are significant differences between the speakers you are asking. I suggest maybe contact Krix who could help you out with understanding the differences between the various speakers you mentioned. Sorry I can't help more with these types of questions.
Build something like it is my 2022 goal, I have no kids or wife (yet), so, it's my time.
Sounds awesome!!
looks awesome but a few misteps when it comes to audio. no back end absorbing baffle wall but a cabinet. well if someone really wants it. front double stacked horn on top of other seems like the dispersion characteristics get in the way of true high end quality sound. it looks awesome and iam sure as hell its one of the top performing rooms anywhere in the world but if you go that far into the rabbit hole. i personally wouldnt want a cabinet in the back which is also difficult for sound by the very nature of it.
9.5/10 awesome and i would be happy to have that room avaible to me :)
I think the bar is a nice touch personally, there is a lot of treatment in the room and there are diffusers along the back wall. Check out the Krix Theatrix to learn more about how they work - Krix make cinema speakers and having witnessed the MX-40 which is similar (not the same) the clarity is insanely good.
Thanks for your comments. As Tony said, we have absorption on the sides at 1st & 2nd reflection points, the whole ceiling and floor, so back wall was only diffusion panels. Our designs are put through acoustic modelling to ensure we strike the right balance of acoustic treatment. In any room there are always aesthetic and design compromises, but in this case the end result was spectacular.
@@hifihunter7662 Your team did a great job. Why are all the great HT companies on the west coast? 😉
@@chevron916 Thank you. West is best :) We have clients on the east coast too.
I'm sorry, but can you please tell me what video sources are recorded for playback in 9.6.4? I was not aware of any? Any what receiver is being used for a 9.6.4 source?
9.4.6 utilises dolby Atmos and object based sound so channel count is utilised as objects move around the room.
@@BuildMontage So you just made it up.
What are you talking about? Do you know how dolby Atmos works??
@@BuildMontage Yes. Your setup may have no resemblance to how the film maker spaced out the audio, but the Atmos will adapt it to your hardware.
How much. That's really the only question.
Let's get Build Montage to 30K subscribers! He will shave his beard for 30K!
No chance! Not even for 1 million!
Can we please get the name and brand of the paint color?
Sadly I don't know unless it's mentioned in the video I don't think I was given that information.
The price at least $ 2 dollards or less
sorry but the left and right front speaker are very near to the center. This is a bad front sound constellation
How do you get access to something like this in Europe?
Krix do have distributors in Europe, so maybe check krix.com.au and you can find a dealer/installer in your locality
@@BuildMontage thank you, much appreciated.
