Ha… I remember seeing this as a teen thinking - ok, the Iron Eagle franchise (Air Force answer to Top Gun), was never great, but it had some fun moments and fighter jets. I started watching Iron Eagle 3 and thought - this show sucks too much to even finish. I was on the verge of switching channels when this McLish’s escape scene starts… back then she was once of the few female bodybuilders with both muscles and beauty - and she never showed up in mainstream movies. Right then and there I realized that - even though this was one of the worst movies I’d ever seen - I knew I must watch to the end to see how the story came out. 😳
Due to her bodybuilding Rachel McLish looked authentic as an action woman, when so many do not. John Glen directed (as he did all 007 movies from '81 - '89) so tho not great, this had some credibility. Rachel's action scenes taking down a fair number of bad guys made it a guilty pleasure!!
Rachel McLish was great in this film. She was strong, muscular woman but still struggled fighting men, realistic. She wasn't "superwoman" and this is the type of female heroine we don't get today.
She was former Ms.Universe body builder. Such a glorious Beauty. Wish she had more movies. Better actor than arnold. Much better looking too. She hulk or Ms. terminator.
