Star ocean 2 or Second Story is considered the best one (To me is 2nd best) and Star Ocean Till the end of time (SO 3) ps2/ps4 (terrible port) you can play SO 1 remaster, SO 4 last hope and....SO 5 is the worst one almost killed the franchises.

Does the Princess debuff skill apply to all characters or just her? Also, would love to see your character builds just to use a guide and cater to my own style. So far this vid is one of the best info by far.
It only hinders Laeticia. The description says “increases exp for all allies in exchange for a reduction to your own abilities.” You can even take it off and put it back on to notice that it’s only her Def/guts that are reduced.
@@Branwally There is only one value of exp for each enemy defeated. Also if you use her in the active party the entire game all characters would be at a level disparity, but mine are not. The increase effects everybody. As does the increase from equipment.
I was going to choose protagonist Laeticia over Raymond. Just wondering what kinds of gear I should make for her. I'm going to play when I get off work. I played every one but 2 unfortunately.
I don’t own the game but I’m interested in one thing about it. How many party members can you get from each playthrough (Raymond’s path and Laeticia’s path chosen in NG)?
If you count the several guest characters I think 10 permanent members and 3 guests. They are the same for both, but at several points you split up and only have access to half or so.
@@optimusgrime8265 from what I saw on a party recruitment guide I found online, you get 8 on Raymond and Laeticia's storyline playthrough, but the optional ones aka JJ and Theo, you only get one in each MCs playthrough ie Raymond gets JJ and Laeticia gets Theo (because they are related) so yes 10 playable party members in total but you only get 9 per playthrough though.
I'd say yes, between 6-10 moves for each character. Keep in mind this game was made on a shoestring budget by a near bankrupt studio. It's not a technical showcase like persona 5 or FF 16.
Great video. This is a big return to form for Star Ocean. Love this series. Despite the ups and downs. This game is definitely an "up".

Yeah it, especially paired with pawns that increase exp allow you to make everyone OP very quickly

Most of what you need you will find naturally, but 10 in smithery and synthesis will give access to her best equipment

@@JamesDavis-nu5lx Just so you know, when I hit the 60 hour mark the framerate turned into dogsh!t. I can no longer recommend it.

lol any +1 sword made of mythril or higher, and max your attack as well as whatever skill, I suggest boulder crush.

I believe they don't since in MOST of the games only party members in battle slots 1 to 4 gain exp the others do NOT.
@@veghesther3204 They do. Everyone gets exp. I dunno if they get as much but reserve characters also level up in battle.
