So the house doesn’t get cleared of it’s residence? We do crane work all the time and the #1 safety rule is we clear out the building, things can go wrong and if they do the last thing you want is to have people in harms way.
I read your mind, I've just put a comment before reading your comment... True that's what I said...
Remember always give the epileptic the camera!!
Could you wiggle and move the camera a little more so that its completely unwatchable?
I thought it was a competition between twitchy trigger finger on the saw and the camera. All's well that ends well.
@@AlfA01 he damn near cutt every piece of holding wood. Should have chased it with a wedge so it can't set back.
@@jakef8372 I was mainly commenting on the camera footage. The all is well that ends well meant at least nobody was hurt, you know?
Hey that went sweet I read some of the comments I've been cutting trees over 30 years as hell have a good job keep up the good work be safe
Perfect! Between my Grandfather and myself (I'm 72 now) I've seen a lot of trees cut down. I have never seen a better job than this. Hats off to you.
Best tree video I ever seen.
Very lucky result. I'd have made the felling cut much shallower and much wider and then taken out the middle with a plunge cut leaving an uncut strap at the back and a much thicker hinge. Put in some wedges and then cut the back strap. The thicker, more open hinge will then stay intact and control the fall of the tree all the way down instead of snapping off completely as it did in this film.
👍Great job kid! 😘Thanks.
You're hired for more.
Well done guys you are professionals👌
dude where was the hinge ? you cut through it with your back cut..also invest in a hydraulic wedge lift...about 2k but best bit of kit for droppin big trees
..
Wow 😮 great job!!!!!!
Great video!!
Beautiful tree.
Isn’t it nice not to be in a “falling tree fail “video Good job
Bye Beautiful 🌲 U were so majestic and awesome!!
Nicely done :-)
Well done. Perfect execution. I would have used a Humboldt notch just to be extra sure that thing didn't kick back and leave you with a new window (or widow) in the house. All's well that ends well, when it was all said and done it was a textbook bulls eye. Nice!
Might want to leave a touch more width of hinge, and use wedges. (Your backcut went almost all the way through. Common with noobs.) Could get embarrassing otherwise when you lose control.
Pretty sure he put in side cuts were aligned with his back cut giving the illusion that he had cut through his hinge. I thought it was going to be a disaster video
@@jiffypop247 yeah those were def scores. He had a hinge. You can see the whiskers on the stump.
Also, in my 25 Years I have seen a lot of things. I’ve seen trees do things you wouldn’t believe, so don’t ever trust a tree
YOU ARE MY FRIEND THAT WAS A EASY CUT .STAY ALIVE FREIND. MAKE THEM CUTS RIGHT LIVE TO CUT ANOTHER DAY. 🇮🇱👀🇱🇷
Very true. Like bears, no two trees are alike. Only the fool gets complacent
@J d Local man died eating chicken ,choked on a bone . He did it all his life
Good job!
Awesome tree fall! Very nice job!
Nicely done. Other than stacking a few wedges for extra security that was good work.
I was stunned to see a person in the doorway of the house. That’s crazy.
First thing I saw, enough to scare the Sh...... out of me. Also the backcut worried me. Luckily fell in right direction otherwise could have been a funeral.
Nice job bro.
That was a real nice drop. Text book. No one died and the house is still up. Nice job.
No. It was sloppy, and succeeded because it was an easy tree. "No one died" is a pretty low bar.
Très bien fait toute en douceur 👍
That backcut though
Nice job congratulation
The sawyer should use the eye protection on his helmet, or is it just for looks?
EXCELLENT. THX
great job! That's was me that house probably gone.lol
good job!
Scary he didn't have next to nothing of a hinge.
I’m 90% sure they were score lines. Looks like he had some holding wood on that stump.
Heavy leaner thats good! The pie cut is a little big i think. Went down good, nice job!
O cara é profissional.
Great job gentlemen.
this guy..are master..great job.!!
great job. please always take the smart approach.
Amazing!!!!
Good job! I'm always amazed at how good arborists are.
Amazing...and he is only a kid...usually it takes a long time to aquire such experience...i would have done it one piece at the time...crazyyy
I didn't actually cut through my hinge those were little nicks on each side before my back cut so that the bark didn't peel
Nathan Spowage Do your nicks a little lower. You can even do them below the bottom cut of your scarf. Still works fine. Wedge is good insurance also
Before you do any more cutting. I think you should learn how to spell. Trees don't fell they fall
Felling is the term used when cutting a tree down, Nathan is correct in his description.
i did think for a moment u had cut the hinge timber and was expecting to to see it pish back and go in to the houce .but niks in the bark is something i do .am alwaus suprised how a little bit of bark tear can alter where she falls .nice job lad
Good job
The "cameraman" has no business with a camera and NEITHER does he have any business anywhere near a tree being felled
You obviously had tension on the line or the tree was weighted heavily in the direction it fell. However you could have used wedges to give more guidance before having to cut so far into the tree. Also wondered why you didn't ever run your with more throttle? It takes more gas every time you rev the engine? Just curious.
He done a good job but likes to play with that throttle. Young and nervous 😁😁 hahahahaha
Always better to go slow and goose the throttle while finishing the cut rather than go full bore and cut through your hinge…that’s why he didn’t go full throttle.
Amazing
you got lucky it went to the right as far as it did by what I seen from your back cut
Now you know why we have hospitals & morgues! Never underestimate a tree.
Camera was being held way too steady. I prefer to see a bit more constant wobbly motion
Good job, a wedge is always nice, getting the lady farther away woulda been nice to see! All in all you don good son!!! I haven't seen a tree pulled like that in a while,,
Good skill the end cut step by step
good job!!!
I can't believe the Guy was still in the house. Most of the time it will fall as desired...most of the time. That is not something on which I would bet my life.
call me a little too safe, maybe they should have asked the homeowners to exit the house while the tree was being dropped. Given the size of the tree and the proximity to the house, perhaps that would have been an okay idea. just sayin
okokok i know - Maybe the home owner refused to leave. Many (older) customers requesting service will often opt to supervise. You can't force somebody to leave their own property.
E isso ai companheiro colega ,eu também faço isso aí ,serviço pra poucos tem que ser proficinal
Bom trabalho garoto!
Rip 1830-2019
Must a 4 year old that film this. The camera kept moving all the time.
Okay, this is cool, but I have a question. I've seen these big cedar trees barber chair when cut, for those of you who don't know, it's when one or more longitudinal splits forms while cutting a tree down. Alder's are infamous for it. You can get caught and flung away, or the tree can just fall on you as the fall pattern becomes highly erratic and difficult to predict. To prevent this guys will wrap chains around the tree above where they're cutting. How can you tell which trees will or won't do this?
Boy done good!
Очень круто, для такого молодого лесоруба!
真的很厲害 好強喔
With the Wight off the back side he had it all day np...keep it up now u got a mess of brush to get up.
At 0:07 we see that the rope is being held by one man...or are they both holding the rope?
Great control, son! Well done. Say, why don't you tie that camera fellow to something that doesn't move next time, eh?
NMranchhand terrible control heel is cut wrong/dangerous if 45 goes up, no heel to stop kick back..he is just lucky is all 45 cut goes on stump, not trunk,
This guy is clearly more professional than 99.7% of you internet trolls on how to fell a tree. A guy was wobbly with a camera phone, a guy didn't use a wedge, but guess what, he landed it where he wanted, and even probably got paid for doing it. And even more than your McDonald's wage paid.
Good work son
I hope his karaoke got him a singing job cuz he ain't going to live long cutting trees.
Omg! Such a beautiful, healthy looking tree. Why would you ever cut that down? Im in shock over here.
Most likely the root system was breaking the foundation. This is very common with trees this size and this close to a house.
Yes the average home owner waits till they absolutely have to pay to have some one take a tree down they aren't out killing trees for no reason other than have a hippie comment on they're you tube channel
I couldn't believe when I seen some one in the door way of the house, May be it was the homeowner... Was safe to stand well clear...
What is that kind of rope hitch? A diamond hitch?
I always cut at a downward angle when making my back cut to the box.......don't need to pull on tree as much as gravity takes over.... well done though thumbs up...!!! ;-)
Downward back cut can actually cause the hinge to collapse and the tree goes backwards.....common part timer mistake....ask any pro, none will cut like that
El corte de en frente está. Bien.pero el lado de atrás del árbol tienes que que cortarlo más arriba caía abajo.y preparando las cuñas
I wish i understood why he had that big beautiful tree cut down. Was it in the way of something??? Did it ruin his yard being there???? I just dont get it. My dad did this in his back yard to. It made no sense to me. He said cuz it was to close to the shed and yet HE DIDNT EVEN USE THE SHED!!!
Can you hold the camera without shake
No way if good you’re good besides he’s perfect safe
Seemed like a short tree for such a large diameter trunk. Was the tree damaged?
Cedar trees are often very tapered naturally, but in a residential setting it's very likely it has had pruning over its lifetime.
Wow 👍
Would his Home Owners insurance have covered that had it gone the wrong way?
Bon boulot.
nice drop
Was the camera strapped to a running chain saw?
Good I am dizzy just watching this
You should have wedged that tree , also chained the trunk to keep it from splitting. It had a good turnout, but always be safe than sorry. If the wind had been blowing against your cut, it would have had a deferent outcome
I'm not a professional tree guy. Though I love cedars and have been collecting them locally in Louisiana. Looks like you are in seattle, the architecture of the house, the color, and those western cedars have a small range. But the notch does not have to be that big does it. Isnt like 4 or 5 inches on a tree that size going to be sufficient? And what about the notch under the horizontal cut? And finally what about some wedges on the backside? My data is slow, all I see is a notch and a spinning loop on my screen loading the video maybe in 40 minutes. Edited next day. I see why a larger gap in the wedge is beneficial. Man I wish I had that tree for my saw mill. God that's a nice tree.
What's the rope for!
Honest question......Why no wedges?
No .ese fue lo más. Peligroso...ese corte .
I once had a very old oak tree that was cracked and seemed to be likely to fall, so we arranged to have it cut down, my neighbor was furious that we would cut down a tree that might kill us, she almost went to court over it and yelled at the tree cutting company so much that they left and didn’t come back. Thankfully we moved away and never saw that neighbor, or the tree, again
It is always a good idea to use a wedge even if you have your crew pulling on the tree, this will prevent the tree from setting back if the tree is to much for your crew to pull over
