- In today's video we talk more lat offs at Stellantis. It's been reported 1600 are temporarily laid off at two plants, but now we are seeing people being offered exits at the Chrysler building, starting that 30% cut Carlos Tavares spoke about.

Dodge is done
RIP Dodge, you need a tombstone.
Carlos the incompetent strikes again. As far as battery technology I think they are all running into the wall that is the laws of chemistry and physics.
Oh boy!!! Don't say that to the EVegans. They'll have something or two to say about that. 😂😂😂 they'll argue all day and night about how battery tech is the best it's ever been and getting better everyday. Besides it's the bestest choice between gas and electric. 😂 Not!
Not sure this is Carlos…the fact the major shareholders aren’t making any waves at least not publicly….kind of seems they support this
The answer to great batteries is carbon ...but the green beanies will not like carbon footprint
This is a time where Carlos Really needs to lead by example, by being the first to accept that 'voluntary' severance package.
screw that ,you take severance you get a payout, he already got his bonus
He did! He left with $37,000,000 for this efforts this year.
Can't wait to listen to this TK update! It's apparent that Stellantis has been for several years slowly dismantling Chrysler.
So, is anyone looking to buy out Chrysler/Dodge!? I am getting tired of seeing the fake presentation of new Plymouth models!!
What Plymouth models have they been boasting? Would love a road runner. All I know is they were making the dodge challenger and chargers which were always dodge.
They want Jeep to be a Land Rover... it already has the same quality so they're half way there.
Pretty soon they'll have the same sales figures too!
Power Wagon is better than both.
and the hits keep coming....
You should offer to buy the toilets out of the Chrysler building!🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣
Carlos won't allow the sale of Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to anyone. He wants them gone so he can sell his EV garbage.
Who even wants them??
I got my Recall U90 today fixed on my 2014 Dodge Dart SXT finally! TK, it is awful what Stellantis is doing to MOPAR! Stellantis needs to build only ICE engines! Save the Chrysler Building for God's Sake!
Three things for Stellantis to survive. Up the quality control. Lower prices at least on lower trim and mid grade models. Bring back the Hemi at least for a few more years.
It's never gonna happen. Too cheap and greedy.
Why did CDRJ got bought by stellantis in the first place?
It’s almost as if the French held a grudge and wanted to destroy it. Not sure if that’s more satisfying to consider than the likelihood that PSA people are simply incompetent.
CDJR was bankrupt, and the only way Obuma would let Fiat back into the country, at the behest of the corrupt UAW was to but it out of bankruptcy.
Fiat only wanted to sell their cars in north america ,;and be able to sell Jeep worldwide. the rest of the brands were junk. 💯🍋🙄🙆💥
good thing the unions got those good contracts
And pay raises.
Stellantis got the upper hand with the contract. Much more favorable toward them than Ford and GM.
Did they stop sabotaging the vehicles yet? (I never will buy a strike-year car.)
I was a C level student in my school days so please forgive me if I misunderstood your comment. Are you implying that the union contracts are somehow the reason CDJR is failing as a company ?
I assume Chrysler building means auburn hills Chrysler Tech Center(CTC)?
Stellantis = Fiat = Fix It Again Tony. They're running Dodge and Chrysler into the dirt. No ones going to but that building.
If they rid of that stupid knob shifter more ram 1500's would sell.... I'm telling you... its that dumb shifter
'Flush', and that wasn't a card-hand either.
Chrysler is literally dying before our eyes! Sad...
I can't stand European cars, so it really troubled me when Diamler Chrysler became FCA then Stellantis. More money for "luxury" features that always seem to break.
After building over priced junk for decades, I'm surprised this didn't happen earlier.
Actually they build the Ram 1500 Classic (4th Gen) at Warren Truck. The 5th Gens are built at the Sterling Heights, MI plant.
Won't be long before they go
I've been saying for over six months now that Stellantis only cares about the Jeep brand....Chrysler, Dodge and Ram are either going to close shop or sold off...the writing is on the wall!
Great video. I really love your content.
Yep... it's a rap
Scary !!
It's almost as if Stellantis has nothing but contempt for American workers and consumers.
Nobody wants to buy Mopar products because of the high cost, low quality, and the cost of insurance on the Challenger and Charger. It’s a bad business plan for Stellantis.
Take the package. When they need to shrink further the packages will be smaller or none at all. Bankrupt companies don't give packages. If you can hook on with Dell it sounds wonderful. 50% of the workforce has voted to continue to work from home and not come into the office. That's 60,000 people that are going to continue to get paid from home. Only caveat is that they are not eligible for promotions. Tougher sledding outside of the tech industry.
amen brother!
In 2017 I got a Tradesman Quad cap six foot bed it was a 42 000 truck I got it for just over 30 It was a great truck V8 Four by four It did what I needed to do for cheap In 2019 I got a Laramie There was Over 52 I got it For 46 Same truck now is 60 Grand it is almost the same truck I had in 2019
Dodge The Last Scam
say good night dodge its been a long up hill battle and now its done
There's a lot of layoffs going on from what I've seen. Not just Chrysler, but a lot of penny pinching from investors/execs. I think it's everywhere.
The Agnelli family still holds the most shares and Elkann is family and Chairman. So the “Italian” side is still the biggest stockholder. Peugeot family owns about 7% and BpiFrance, basically the French government, owns about 6%. Unfortunately, Stellantis has been profitable in spite of what’s happening in the US/NA. The European market share is profitable as well as most of their other markets. While Fiat made some changes to products that improved the Chrysler brands, INITIALLY, over time they didn’t bring any major new products to Chrysler except for maybe the Pacifica, Grand Cherokee, and somewhat Ram 1500. Mostly otherwise, new products were Fiat based clones and the LX based cars were pretty much ignored except for “performance packages”.
The French don’t understand the NA market, time has shown that, and likely never will.
I wish Chrysler/Dodge was American/Canadian-owned.
Stellantis headquarter employees BEWARE they will offer you severance but still looking for my S.A.P. In the mail! So I recommend you tread lightly!
You commented on how stellantis prices are high well when I worked in the stamping facility at brampton we had a millwright that almost got killed due to a large spring on the brake snapped and shattered his head and the cause was the company wouldn't pay more for the stronger bolt but saved 20 bucks on the cheaper bolts so how much was out lives worth in brampton was at least 20 bucks cdn
The automotive line is done for every
Stellantis was the only major automaker to report a decline in U.S. sales last year; its market share dropped below 10%; and Hyundai, including Kia, outsold Stellantis for the first time ever.
About time.
There is definitely a market for lower trim level. Poor quality high prices keep people away.
What do you expect from civilians
You’re in the right quadrant I agree but to be a bit more selective they are Democrat/socialist countries that play puppet master in the back round not different than Biden ruining the v8 or our country, economy, and way of life which again stretched down to the idiot civilian to blame specifically who voted for him which was the democrat because we know the majority of the Republican Party has served or is serving even as a retired military civilian or otherwise the majority are Republican. And frankly if he never made it in nobody would be jumping on the ev train not that they are now which I turn would preserve our v8s Tim would still be president and the epa could fk off. Sillantis would shut up so long as they made money.
Stellantis is here to destroy
Sad times for Dodge and Chrysler. I agree Stellantis is only interested in Jeep. I was hoping my next car would be a Durango RT, but i am a year away from next purchase, and running out of options for car enthusiasts like myself as Stellantis puts another nail in the coffin of an iconic American brand. BTW - luv my Charger RT- 5 years going and zero problems.
Stellantis is bleeding to death and lowering their prices on there vehicles is the tourniquet.
I feel like these strategic moves should have been made on Dodge.
I understand stellantis is in trouble and their vehicles are not selling at all but are any of these layoffs numbers really confirmed just a question
I keep hearing Dodge or Jeep may disappear. In all reality, if that were to happen…what happens to a 3 year or 5 year warranty on a 2022 or 2023 vehicle?
Someone has to buy this company or it's done
They’re going to buy a heavy duty Ram, because RIP drives one…
RAAAAAMMM!!! RAM 🐏 IS #1 TK!!!! Raaammm is #☝
I’m glad I got rid of my 2017 Dodge Charger, it broke my heart, but I’m glad I got a 2024 Chevy Camaro LT1. 😊😊
Its horrible that the ending is so foreseeable and unreeling itself
Stellantis should cut everything but the wrangler and ram. Their quality is pathetic and those are the only two models where people will over look the bad quality. Then drop prices 20% lower than its competitors on those two models to account for the trash quality
The Pacifica, in spite of itself, is still the best selling minivan. Of course, the Chrysler brand could be cut and the minivan moved to Ram. And move the Wagoneer over to Ram, where it probably should have been to begin with. Ram trucks, SUV Ram Wagon, and minivan, Jeep Wrangler/Gladiator and Grand Cherokee. Those are the money makers…the rest are pretty much loser Fiats.
If i had to guess....Chrysler is 100% gone like Plymouth. Some Dodge Trucks survive, and some Jeeps survive.
Stellantis Lays off is employees that working in the manufacturer plant
Time to sell my RAM, won't be worth shit at this rate
take the money and run maybe you can find a job on mexico or china
Not really. Your going to have to update your skills toolbox and jump to another industry. Been through it in my 50's and it's not pleasant.
Cdjr is no longer American and stellantis is trying to prove it
Good--- if they are NOT American, then they CANNOT be bailed out--AGAIN!!!
BYE. BYE !!!!
My worry is replacement parts for dodge products!
model yr changeover and as far as challeger charger go thats a two month changeover..because its an all new car
Carlos is trying to sell off all assets as fast as he can. Carlos will suck all the money out of Dodge they can.
Why would any sane person buy any CDJR product?
Furlough Friday
I can’t afford any of their crap.
They're gonna lay a lot of people off. They're acting like they're not gonna bring back to Hime, but it's all a plot they're gonna rehire everybody at a lower pay, bring back to Hime again. New car body styles, same old motor cheap a** interior. But aggressive.
Sexy funny ends and body style
Crap product and even worse leadership.
Just what President Trump said would happen; right again !!! If we want the America the way we remember it we need President Trump back
Wil BYD want to buy what is left of Chrysler?
That might be the most humane result.
Probably, then the crap build quality will still chug along. Go check out some byd videos
Anytime the UAW loses workers i smile
😮👎What a shit show . . . WOW.
I got my Pop-Corn ready and my HAZMAT suit on, just waiting for shit to hit the fan.
Nope because Biden says we have a strong economy 😅
Actually,…we do.
And what is Biden doing to help??
I’m not sorry for all the greedy line workers. Have fun on unemployment line. See how that union works out for you now.
