I bought three different items from IKEA here in turkey Antalya I am helping my mom to set up her apartment, She’s renting in turkey avsallar  I had really fun putting the closet together and I decided to do a video for CZcams at the same time

They recommended that two people put the wardrobe together but you did it alone with Mom helping to lift at the end...well done Mike... you're good at it👍
Always, always use wood glue on all the running edges when building per-frabrecated furniture. This makes it extremely sturdy and resistant to the piece becoming loose over time.

I used some Gorilla glue on mine, and it's still going strong.

visiting home while folks that you love are still alive is the right thing to do. i regret that i didn't do it more though my budget and my career at the time did not allow for me to do that. i also understand your being conflicted or missing your new home when you are back at your childhood home for an extended period of time.

When you're hammering "tiny" nails, hold the nail with needle nose pliers. Just a tip for future reference. Oh, and...you're a good son, and your mother is adorable! Cheers! :)

I must have missed why your mom has an apartment in Turkey. I thought she was living in Germany. Is this a vacation home? Or is she moving permanently to Turkey. You did a very good job on the closet. We have put together several things from IKEA. They are time consuming for sure.

Good work!! When I put my shelves together I actually painted the exposed pressed particleboard, because if water gets on it- it puffs up and expands.

I was wondering what you were going to do with furniture after a 3 hour flight, I was thinking, 'are they going to ship it back to Germany?'
*Top Tip :* If you want *extra shelves,* go to OBI or the equivalent. They have long pieces of plastic coated wood. They will cut it to size. Then they have the plastic on a strip. You cut it to length, and iron it onto the edges of the cut wood so that it looks like it was made like that ( put a towel on the tape when ironing it ). Then they have extra pegs so that you can put the new shelves into the pre-drilled holes that are already in the wardrobe. More shelves means less clothes per shelf, which means less hassle when getting something from the bottom of the pile. And you will put more on more shelves, trust me !

Here's a tip for ya from a guy with fat or I mean XXL man hands....needle nose pliers to hold nails and never smash a finger again 😉
What's incredible is how that flimsy back and tiny nails are the main support to keep it square and strong. Amazing!

MY CONTRIBUTION WOULD BE THAI FOOD- A Pad Thai & THAT IS a Thai dish of stir-fried rice noodles with eggs, vegetables and tofu in a sauce of tamarind, fish, dried shrimp, garlic, red chili pepper and sugar. Some of the ingredients are provided on the side as condiments, including red chili pepper, lime wedges & peanuts----- YUM YUM DR PEPPER !!!!

So I always had to use glue on that compressed wood shaving furniture I still own some! The old solid wood furniture is best ! I wish you the best German and kiss your beautiful Mom once in a while yes!

Hi ya Mike. I feel you. I had to assemble 8 closets for my garage. I had no power tools. My fingers were bloody stumps when I finished. Soon after, I purchased a cordless drill. Lol. I think the hardest part of this build was the filming and editing. But thanks. It was fun.

Suggestion: The fridge door is on backwards. It seems it should open from the right. It's just like an Ikea job to unscrew the hinges and switch them over to the other side of the door and the main part of the fridge. See what you think, GIV. I'll watch!
