In this video I discuss how to improve your flying changes. It takes a long time and lots of repetition to train a dressage horse. Getting your flying changes straight, uphill and expressive will give you a higher mark in the show ring! I hope these tips are helpful and that you will end up with flying changes like Valegro and Charlotte Dujardin!

Gatsby looks happy and comfortable making changes playful and fun with his dedicated partner, Amelia! Love watching you ride.

Gatsby has put on so much muscle since the last time I watched your videos! He looks great.

Flying lead changes? I'm still trying to get my thoroughbred to pick up the correct lead. We struggle with the right. I enjoy watching you ride. Some times I watch horses of a high level, and they seem to go through the motions and look pretty but their ears are ridged and turned out or back. Gatsby's ears are loose and forward. It says to me that he is relaxed and comfortable while at the same time performing a difficult job. Its beautiful.

Thank you as always! These videos are so helpful! It always seems that your video is on what went wrong today! I also notice that you sit perfectly square when asking! I sometimes try to help by rotating my upper body. It doesnt help. Just makes us more crooked! 🙄😂

I am not an English style rider, so not familiar with Gran Prie. How old is the average advanced trained Gran Prie horse?

Is he super talented to be doing Grand Prix at such a young age?

Yes, but we've still got a lot of work to do! It helps that I've been his only rider since he was 4!
