So sorry to see your plants dying, it's really heartbreaking after all your hard work. I've had the same problem with my cucumber plants and my bottle gourd plants they are dying with the same kind of disease as you have shown in your video.
Never mind Alhamdulillah all your other plants are doing well. Keep up the good work.

I am really sorry to hear your having the same issue with your gourd plants. Try spraying hydrogen peroxide, you can buy hydrogen peroxide from your local pharmacy. Add 15ml to 1 liter spray water bottle and spray on to the leaves both sides. Spray late afternoon.
Hopefully I will be making a video about it
      Best of luck

It is very nice to see how father and son interact. Dad is asking his son, who learns by thinking the problem through for himself. But in the end, we discover, that dad knew everything all along. He was quite right in every respect: Hot wet weather causes this. And you cannot fix the plants. You must pull them all out and burn them (or dispose of them in plastic bags) so that the disease does not spread. And if you don't do it right, you may lay the infection down for next year. The root looks good, showing that it is neither a phytophthora (a protist, not a fungus) nor nematodes. Also not over watering that would result in poor roots. After removing the plants, spray down the area with an anti-fungal mixture of natural oils: Neem oil and eucalyptus. If you suspect that a bacterial infection may also be present, use tea tree oil in the mix.

Aqib you are not alone, its happened many gardeners. Only solution I can come up with is that constant one week rain with cold weather made this fungus. We can be patient and look forward to what we have left to grow. Thanks

I’m so sorry to see the state of your plants! I know this was 2 years ago but this year I have lost my snake coy plants! It was covered in gourds and then suddenly they all started to go soft and rotted! Next year I will stick to courgettes and pumpkins! 😢 as they grow really well for me. As for the beetroot? When I pulled them up they were just a thin root! Onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes and aubergine 🍆 did very well this year. I hope you had better luck this year.

Assalaamu alaikum. Evil eye is mentioned in the quran so when you say you don't believe in it, its like saying you don't believe in these verses so please be careful what you say especially when it's something you aren't knowledgeable about.
Allah revealed the 3 quls as a protection against evil eye and black magic. The prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, most of my ummah will die from evil eye meaning that majority of people will be affected by it and it can be so harmful thst it can even be a cause of death. Also, on one occasion, Aisha the wife of prophet pbuh was expecting a visitor so the prophet asked her to place a rock under cloth before she came. When she left the rock had shattered to pieces and the prophet pbuh said this was because of her evil eye. This was to show how harmful evil eye can be.
So the first point is, prevention is better than cure. When you see something you like you should invoke Allahs blessings to avoid evil eye be saying mashallah tabarallah or allahuma baarik (which is the best of the 3). Whilst not every test is evil eye, when put yourself on a platform not everyone watching will invole blessings or may even feel jealous. So the other thing we should do is read mornimg and evening duas for protection. Go to invocations book hisnul Muslim for authentic duas from the sunnah (ayatul kursi and 3 quls can suffice) and read these after fajr and late asr, just before maghrib, as per the prophets advice.
Once you think you might be affected, read quran verses for cure such as verses from surah baqarah and 3 w
Quls. And ask Allah for cure for he is ash shaafi the one to whom belongs cure for anything and everything. Every medicine we take or remedy we seek, Allahs the one who grants it permission to cure us. So we should seek cure from Him first.
On a positive note, everything happens for a reason. Perhaps Allah wanted to teach you something through this test. It is heartbreaking to see but inshaAllah you gained something from it.
May Allah bless your home, your growing and your family. Ameen

  • @lifewithnitasaikia6156

Please scrub wash your trellis, posts, bamboo canes with Jeyes fluid 30 mls in 5 litres of water. Prior to washing, soak them in this water for 30 mins and then scrub wash them. Maybe your waterbutt needs treatment too. Fungal spores last for years and with the heat and subsequent rain they attacked the plants. Gardening is an educational issue and thanks for showing this video. Every year at the end of the gardening year, all implements etc must be cared for. I usually use oil to put on them prior to storing. Nothing to do with evil eye, ghosts, spirits etc. We tend to forget that hygienic practices must be maintained in gardening too. Take care and do upload another video please.

Did u try a routine of using hydrogen peroxide diluted solution and bermoil routine for a few days.. Before pulling them out as the roots look OK, may be u could remove badly infected leaves and some stems but a leave very few less affected keaves and try these sprays for one cycle of routine and may be by then new leaves develop? U never know

Sorry that happened all the hard work too ruined. Do spray your supports with strong Jeyes fluid a few times after you have cleared the plants and a fungicide ...copper based also neem spray can help on plants in wet periods.

I saw ur video last year... Surprisingly I have it looks like, on my only bottle gaurd I managed to sprout and grow...it has been growing in the green house.. Don't see any spots in stems yet.. The leaves have grown limp and def it is fungal disease but not sure it is same as what u had.. So devestated.. Not sure if too hot and dry weather in the greenhouse could cause fungus growth.. 😒

Try 1 -2 tablespoon baking soda sprayed every other day for a week. I have the same Anthracnose issue every year with my bottle gourds.A citric Acid spray is also a worthy try. Also a few tablespoons of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide diluted in 1 gal water works well.
