I hate saying this, but having the smash bundle when it came out was better designed because of the dock itself.
I love that dock, makes it one of my favorite systems I’ve ever owned

What makes this one NOT special is that it's literally just the smash bros joycons from the non-oled SE, and that one had a custom dock and you're not even getting that. At least you got it for free.
The dock is not in Smash Bros. style, though. I got the standard Switch in Smash Bros. design and there the dock has a nice print on it as well
My original Switch (which I got launch day) stopped connecting joycon so I decided to get a new one (still keeping the old one) I got the Tears of the Kingdom one. Such a nice upgrade to the OLED
Nintendo doesn’t even try very hard. The best they could think of was a plain black dock, regular OLED back, and grey joy cons with a line on them.
Then make a better one
@@jakedematteo2172 Its not a matter if they can make a better one, Nintendo's the multi-billion dollar company. It adds insult to injury when the base switch smash bundle is objectively better and they could've just made one with that design.

This is by far the best Switch special edition ever made. Those two lines are amazing. That craftmanship is exquisite, even mindblowing according to some. Well done Nintendo, you knocked it out of the park.
Honestly, not worth it, I prefer the white one, if they did something cool with the dock, now you're talking! And something cooler on the Joy Cons.

I’m going to be honest. I own this same exact switch that he has. It’s honestly unappealing when it comes to design. The Joy-cons are pretty cool…But the dock just plain black and there’s really no design from the back or pretty much anything BUT the stripes on Joy-cons. When you switch out the joy-cons to a different colors, it just looks like a normal OLED switch with nothing special with it.
I'm going to be very honest here. The OLED model of the Smash Bros switch is disgusting. Everything is playing a plain black docking station a plane tablet. The only custom thing you get are themed Smash Bros. Joycons compare the first one they did. Yes, you got a docking station. That was black but had some of the characters in Gray in the front and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the tablet also had a design in the back. This one is a bust. I prefer the Zelda tears of the Kingdom OLED switch which looks way better than this one even my current switch that I'm using the Splatoon 3 looks better in my opinion those two which I own are the best Nintendo switches that can never exist and Nintendo has designed for gamers to love this OLED Smash Bros switch at least in my opinion doesn't look very appealing.

Oh yeah, the Smash Edition Joy-Cons are great. I put some adhesive tape on mines and it looks just like it. Exquisite!

I have the Zelda totk themed oled switch, the dock is really cool, the backplate is cool, the joycons are really cool, everything is cool. But the hdmi cable I got didn’t work.

I have the Tears of the Kingdom OLED & I love it. Even when the next system releases, I’m keeping this OLED in my tv setup! The gold joycon sans the white dock with gold decals are perfect!
