The guy you mentioned doing the transitions is Jimin. In their choreographies all of them have to do it, sometimes more and sometimes less but especially in this choreography, Jimin has to do it the most. He often has to run all the way across the formation in in 1-2 seconds etc. The amount of precision on his part is admirable.
All the live versions of this are pure art. The song is just so well represented by this choreography. It’s based on the Martha Graham quote “a dancer dies twice, the first time when they can no longer dance and the first death is the most painful”. It’s about fear of losing passion or ability for your art. I adore absolutely adore everything here.
The one you're taking about is named JIMIN, he maybe the center dancer but he's the one that controls the transitions within the choreographies. He shares the responsibility with 8:33 JHope who's the dance line leader, JK, V and RM who's the leader of BTS. *They all pretty much take turns with transitioning throughout the dances, so there is like no one person*
As a former dancer (health issues) who had a mother that was a dance instructor. One of the biggest thing that my mom put in me that BTS does very well is: If you mess up, do not react like you messed up because most people unless they're a dancer can't tell that you messed if you make it look like that is what you were supposed to do. And BTS has done that many times. of course there are times where they just laugh at themselves when they mess up on stage but they have had the ability to take their mess up as part of the performance and no one notices because they are professional about their performances.
I don’t know why but this made me think of the time that Namjoon absolutely body checked Yoongi on stage and both of them acted like nothing happened but poor Yoongi got run over hahaah
The MV is a must but also the MAMA 2020 performance I a must. There was no singing in this as Suga was recovering from surgery. But it's mind blowing 🤯

From what I remember of all their performances and dances, that was their first real group choreography that they did barefoot and became the first k-pop group in person on American late late talk show with James Corden to publicly performance LIVE barefooted with dance. *They were even barefoot in their music video!*
What's amazing about BTS, not all of them started out as dancers. Some of them learned to dance during their trainee phase. Hell, Jin was picked off the street for his good looks and he had to learn how to sing and dance. J-Hope and Jimin were the only ones that had dance background.

I don't know the specific timeline for his training according to Google it was summer 2012. Y'all should watch the live Black Swan performance the guys did at the MMA award show 2020 they switched it up and it was stunning. They also performed ON live and Dynamite with a special dance break I think you guys will love. In fact the MMA 2019 and the 2018 awards performances were stunning
This is one of my absolute favourite BTS choreos because it's just beautiful to look at. They've done barefoot performance before on the James Corden Show (the stage was designed nicely, but was so tiny that at one point V accidentally kicked JHope in the head, but the only thing you notice is JHope readjusting his headset). There's a performance they did for Jimmy Fallons BTS week which I prefer, as the set is stunning, and the lighting is way better. They have a lot more space to perform it as it was designed too.

every single one of their black swan live performance has been crazy good. they've changed it up multiple times by adding backup groups, switching up the instrumentals, adding intros, and each one is so so good. the lyrics of the song itself, will make you really emotional - which you can see from the dance in this as well, you get caught up in it even when you don't know what's being said! i love them, this is one of my favourite performances

Now while all of them dance, in some performances there are kind of mini solos that you'll see the other members of the dance line in. In the MV, if you choose to watch it Jimin, the man in the front left who is blonde right now, does a lot of the solo work for this song. The live stage from James corden, other live stages, the online concert and the 2020 Mama performances are all slightly different. I think the MV shows off a lot of what they wanted to convey with this song. You should also check out the lyrics as well because that also feeds into what they're expressing. This dance practice -- and the one for On, which looks like it was shot at the same time -- really shows how good a dancer V has become. He's obviously not the star of the choreo but whenever he's up front you can really appreciate how smooth his moves are
Jimin (the blonde with the white shirt in this video) travels the most in my opinion in their choreographies, and that's because he is QUICK on his feet, he is LIGHT, seriously. Jimin does a lot of complicated transitions as well. I do hope you watch the music video for this, but I also hope you watch Jimin's " [BANGTAN BOMB] Jimin's Black Swan Solo Behind the Scenes - BTS (방탄소년단) ". Because as BTS all said, Jimin is "The Black Swan", as he has a background in contemporary dance and is the most versatile dancer in the group, mixing his experience with street styles, contemporary, traditional dance, and martial arts to creat his own style, which is both powerful and fluid, and he is very good at controlling the speed of his movements and isolating body parts. He is genuinely insane, and mesmerizing to watch.
yes! I remember when mnet counted Jimin's dintance travelled during idol performance, his rotation during the performance is considered to be one of the hardest in kpop (6km/h)
Jungkook is lead dancer and Center of the dance line, he almost lead the transition but no one noticed because he make it look so natural and effortlessly to him, less experienced but professional in any kind of situations that’s why he is my bias he never let me disappoint☺️
Another amazing choreo is: Hybe Labels BTS Intro performance Trailer. This is a very early performance - I'll guess 2014-2015. This particular one is shown 3 times with specific camera angles because when they debuted it the TV show screwed it all up. There is a reverse scene that is not a camera trick. Cast of 30 looks like 100's.

Yes, I’d love for you guys to watch the music video!! Also, they have a another Black Swan music video where BTS aren’t in it, but the dance is performed by a dance company! I highly recommend watching both videos!! Also I recommend watching the behind the scenes shooting of Jimin’s solo Black Swan parts.💜 Fun fact: When BTS first performed this live is was on the James Corden late night show and because the stage was smaller than they’re used to, Jhope revealed later that night that he accidentally got kicked in the head by another member. It’s so crazy, I had no idea it happened because Jhope showed very little reaction to it! 🤯
I'm going through your backlog of BTS reactions and I love the videos! Black Swan is easily in my top 3 live performances they do. If you can find a video of it their performance of it at either PTD Vegas or Seoul is incredible! I would def recommend giving that a watch.

JIMIN is on another level as a dancer So smooth as powerful and effortless. His moves are always beautifully executed.

Jimin (the blonde with the white shirt in this video) travels the most in my opinion in their choreographies, and that's because he is QUICK on his feet, he is LIGHT, seriously. Jimin does a lot of complicated transitions as well.

Because as BTS all said, Jimin is "The Black Swan", as he has a background in contemporary dance and is the most versatile dancer in the group, mixing his experience with street styles, contemporary, traditional dance, and martial arts to creat his own style, which is both powerful and fluid, and he is very good at controlling the speed of his movements and isolating body parts. He is genuinely insane, and mesmerizing to watch.
yes! I remember when mnet counted Jimin's dintance travelled during idol performance, his rotation during the performance is considered to be one of the hardest in kpop (6km/h)

Jungkook is lead dancer and Center of the dance line, he almost lead the transition but no one noticed because he make it look so natural and effortlessly to him, less experienced but professional in any kind of situations that’s why he is my bias he never let me disappoint☺️

Another amazing choreo is: Hybe Labels BTS Intro performance Trailer. This is a very early performance - I'll guess 2014-2015. This particular one is shown 3 times with specific camera angles because when they debuted it the TV show screwed it all up. There is a reverse scene that is not a camera trick. Cast of 30 looks like 100's.

Yes, I’d love for you guys to watch the music video!! Also, they have a another Black Swan music video where BTS aren’t in it, but the dance is performed by a dance company! I highly recommend watching both videos!! Also I recommend watching the behind the scenes shooting of Jimin’s solo Black Swan parts.💜
Fun fact: When BTS first performed this live is was on the James Corden late night show and because the stage was smaller than they’re used to, Jhope revealed later that night that he accidentally got kicked in the head by another member. It’s so crazy, I had no idea it happened because Jhope showed very little reaction to it! 🤯

I'm going through your backlog of BTS reactions and I love the videos! Black Swan is easily in my top 3 live performances they do. If you can find a video of it their performance of it at either PTD Vegas or Seoul is incredible! I would def recommend giving that a watch.
I do enjoy watching your reaction to every BTS songs and dance practices, most especially. BTS' Black Swan is my favorite dance choreography. You are all right, it's power in dance and subtlety. You should also react when they first perform this at James Corden's. They were barefooted.
