The whole time I watched the match, all I could think was how remarkable it is for players so young to have "Big 3" levels of composure. Often what defines Big 3 matches are moments of resilience, fortitude, and ability to come up clutch in high-pressure moments. For example, Sinner saved a service game despite it starting 0-40. Alcaraz faced a MATCH POINT in the fourth set and brought it all the way back to win both that set and the match. I know it's often said "that could have gone either way" as a kind gesture, but maybe up until the very end of this match it _actually_ felt like either player could have taken it. These two are producing the kind of tennis that we all heard was promised by some of the newer gen players (Zverev and Tsitsipas, for example) - but something about these guys makes me think they will be Slam champions before anyone else.
p.s. that said we'll see how Alcaraz's endurance holds up through all of this. Man has played a LOT on court just between the Cilic and Sinner matches. I cannot wait to see how the semis play out.

And Sinner is like Berdych 3.0 with supersonic speed in court coverage and a deadlier backhand. These two will win numerous slams one day, and it may be coming sooner than we think.

The best match in mens tennis this year…even though there were so many great ones already! I was sweating 😓 just watching it! Amazing mental fortitude from Alcaraz, despite not converting the match point in the 2nd set and being down in the 5th!👍One of those matches where you want to announce both players to be winners!…well, they are winners!🎾👍

I bet Alcaraz live at +1000 on FanDuel at 30-30 in the 4th set down 5-4 with Sinner serving for the match. My only regret is only betting $500 instead of betting $5k.

You can hype Rafa as much as you like but just remember: Tiafoe just ate him up last week and we will find out in January if he will get eaten up again by another player Alcaraz or Sinner or Djoko… we will see

I watched the whole game and I better see an extended highlight of this match because it was almost every game or point that after the 2nd set that had so many twists and turns. I have been rooting for Alcaraz for over a year now, but no one can deny or fail to see how great Sinner is. I really saw him winning it after winning 2sets straight. I don’t know how Carlos did it, mentally and physically to keep going but wow and their intensity or energy didn’t drop even after the 5hr mark. I hope Carlos gets properly recuperated for Tiafoe and makes it through. Vamos Carlos

He did it because Sinner choked. Serving for the match, 30-0, choked. Alcaraz did nothing special mentally, it was a match of choking.
