20 years over.. still i can't get over this songs. I even learn to play piano because of this song. How much i love and cherish those times.. thanks squaresoft..
Uematsu was the composer back then. Less about Squaresoft prior to their merge with Enix and more about the raw talent of individuals.

Possibly the best song written for an FF game. I was 18 years old when I played the game. A good friend of mine was staying with me for the summer while his family's home was being remodeled and we spent hours and hours playing this game unlocking every secret GF and weapon or item. This song always takes me back to that wonderful summer.
I got to the end of the 3rd disc and I had read that if I start in on the 4th disc, then there would be some things I can't go back and get to complete collecting everything. As a result, I never actually finished the game since I never went on to the 4th disc.

@@mrlouissai3505 I think 8 looked better with the more realistic style but I liked the length of 9. I just finished the original 7 which had the worse art style but the story was good as expected from Final Fantasy. I'm gonna play 5 next as I intend to play all the games. I'm on my phone now, after I'll move to Steam and play all the rest on there.
I literally finished 8 last night for the first time. I have to say 7 is better and is still my favourite game of all time. The materia system is miles better than the junction system. If you can get past the graphics play the original. Everything about it was special. From the story to the characters to the music. Epic! Anyway. Good piano skills haha

So, so beautiful. The late 90s rpgs were truly an incredible era. Uematsu will go down in history as one of the greatest composers to have ever lived.
Many PS1 RPG will be my loved games, especially FF 7/8/9, Chrono Cross, Legend of Mana, Legend of Dragoon :) Those games had real magic. And Final Fantasy music up to FF 10 was something diffrent.

Rinoa才是FF第一女性，远超TIFA。在游戏中这个人物塑造的实在太丰满了，叛逆，任性，善良，惶恐，彷徨各种人有的Rinoa都有。Rinoa 不是完美的，但是她是唯一一个真的像人的。更别说Rinoa 和 阿尔迪米希亚 给玩家带来的无限遐想。FF8 我心中永远的神作。

Final Fantasy 8 is my second favorite out of the seventeen Final Fantasies I have played. It really is a great game. Except for Tactics Advanced, every Final Fantasy I have played is above average when compared to other games I have played.

I don’t know how you find the prefect outfits to fit the characters of which the music you play but you pull it off flawlessly
there are many final fantasy series but the final fantasy 8 series is the one I like the most and the first rpg game I played, the theme song touched my heart. The sound of the piano, the background, the lights, the clothes you're wearing is absolutely amazing
Damn this bring memory back. I remember i play disc one like 9 times and disc 2 like 6 times since my memory card keep broken.
I believe this game now available on steam time to make some purchase and replay it.

Laguna and Julia the real romance that got me in ff8. Literally paved the way for the "main" romance. And this song, ah the feels! 🥲 👏
Unfortunately that was a love that never happened because Laguna went on the Lunatic Pandora mission. After they all narrowly escaped, Laguna was nursed back to health by Raine. There he met Ellone. Raine and Laguna was the true love story.
Julia ended up with General Caraway in Laguna's absence, and they had Rinoa.
Squall may or may not be Laguna's son by Raine. It's left ambiguous. Raine died an early death (reason not given, but we see Laguna at her grave after a scene where he puts a ring on her finger) and since Laguna was in Esthar freeing Ellone, fighting Sorceress Adel, and then becoming Esthar's leader afterwards, Squall ended up in an orphanage. That is, assuming Squall was Raine's child. Laguna may not have known he had a son, being in Esthar.
Now that I think about, Ellone was at the orphanage with Squall and the others (Big Sis'/Oneesan). So I might be a bit off on the timeline and exactly how it happened. Well, she was younger when kidnapped in Esthar, so she would have been at the orphanage later as she was a bit older then. In that case Laguna likely returned to Raine with Ellone, then went back to Esthar while Raine stayed behind. She must have passed away sometime during this time period which may have been before or after sealing Sorceress Adel.

No other piano piece of Eyes On Me traces the original this close! Beautiful! I can almost recite the whole song just because of this piano play. Just want to add one more....the costume is spot on! Most people remember 7 as the big hit.... FFVIII for me however was the game that made me fall for the series, this song brings back cherished memories - I hesitate to call it a "cover" as this may as well could have been in the original game...
