This is been a great life changing career experience I have seen so much country US and Canada so many things along the way. Been at this for 15 years with over a million safe miles in the RV industry. There have been probably more Pros than Cons in my experience that's why I felt the need to reach out in the comment section. As an owner operator and I know this is across the board in all trucking Industries you're going to have to run your little tail off to make a living is a lot of expenses a lot of expenses to operate. And not to mention the risk .There's a lot of pickup and delivery deadlines, check-in calls and you're going to be confronted with breakdowns, bad weather, traffic situations, texting, under the Influence drivers, high turnover rates across the board whether it's office, dispatch, drivers, guard Shacks, ever changing policies that comes with high turnover a lot of things obstruct and distract your day as a safe driver. One or any of these can change or alter your day for life. To sum it all up it's a very high-risk expensive business/job. But the life experience in my opinion is priceless and that's why I go with there's more Pros than Cons.

Do you offer loads returning to Oregon? If not do you pay round trip mileage paid?

Rob, the industry only pays by the loaded mile. We do have loads going to and from Oregon.

When flying back, how does one get to the Horizon terminal? It seems most of the cost effective flights are to Chicago.

There are a couple shuttle companies that specifically help transporters get from Chicago to Elkhart County. You can also work with car rental companies to take one-way trips.
