I am an introvert. I avoid large groups of people and prefer my own company than go to parties, but I am also a maths teacher, and put me in front of a class, and it's showtime. I totally get that Jacob is an introvert.
Man, everyone from the technical crew to major music celebrities in the audience gets a shout out. It's mighty nice to see a humble musical genius who isn't afraid to shine a light on others regardless of whether or not they have their own wikipedia page!
I watched an interview of him talking about music and how fast he talks and how animated he was talking about it was mesmerizing. It was like being shot at with musical knowledge by an Ak-47
It's just amazing how he captivates that audience. It's like he's got complete control of their emotions during the entire performance. What a performer!!
I was just left in hysterics by the end, laughing at the absurdity of such a being existing among our species. He is too beautiful and too pure... his music displays the delicate, humble nature that defines the most fragile aspect of the human spirit. I just hope that this man does not become corrupt by the world he has been, by the very nature of his genius, thrust into. Jacob Collier, you are the representation, nay the very avatar of the most beautiful aspect of the human creative soul. Thank you for all you do, and I hope with every ounce of my heart that the world does not corrupt the divine nobility of your soul, so that you may continue to be an invaluable inspiration in this world.
the musical ending alone knock my s*** out that's f****** amazing, leaving some of the beats inserted into there's the obvious weather report quote with the Jacqueline under the funk beat amazing.
@@muzicislif33 Same dude. I don't care how talented or creative someone (apparently) is, no human on earth deserves that much pixie dust blown up their ass. Wow just wow lol.
Just now revisiting this. I was there near the front, and singing Happy Birthday to Quincy Jones is one of the memories that I'll treasure for the rest of my life.
The Stevie WONDER of our age. ....simply irresistible and those in the audience know this special talent...thank God I have everything he has done....a uniqueness that will not be replicated
He’s an amazing musician and an incredible person. We need more artists like him, that share stage and just have fun with the others musicians and the audience.
How lucky, fortunate, and extremely blessed are these musicians, to share the stage with the most creative, genius, musician of this century. I am flabbergasted.
I trust anyone who posts on this video to alert me to great music! Thanks for the eagle eyes and down the rabbit hole i go with these two new artists you've spotted.
HOW PHENOMENAL is it to have such GREATS in your Audience........OMG!!!!! This is the experience and substance I want my son, Mekhi Boone (13) to experience!! He is a prodigy and soooooo inspired by Jacob !!! God bless you, Jacob.
Wooow man This is a wonderful show. i never see that before!!! Sir Jacob you are a very very very good musician and a very very good show man. thanks for that!!! kiss from france
then I cannot remember the last time I actually sing along to a sing-along to a replay of a live broadcast ever in my life I can't remember the first time!
Well he’s pretty good at working a crowd isn’t he wow

???
We are comfortable in our wheelhouse! And doesn't Jacob love to make a joyful noise with whoever is around him!

You know you've made it in life when you casually call Herbie Hancock and Steve Vai you friends.
Ok, considering he outright said he's an introvert several times, this is absolutely incredible...
If he's an introvert, then I'm a stone.
@@YuriRadavchuk I guess you're a stone, then.... or at least he said so in his Berklee class
introvert doesnt mean shy, it just means that you like to keep to yourself more often
@@flipdownyonder yeah, he´s probably a little different off-stage. Makes perfect sense to act a little hyped onstage. :)
I'm not one to tell someone else what personality type they are, but... this is not introvert behavior.
Even more than 6 months later it’s still unbelievable that I was able to sing happy birthday to Quincy Jones in his actual presence.
I watched an interview of him talking about music and how fast he talks and how animated he was talking about it was mesmerizing. It was like being shot at with musical knowledge by an Ak-47
he's an animated guy 😏
I would say a minigun
Instead of an AK-47, it's an AK-half flat Maj.47.
JC, herbie, quincy all in one room. Epic
Dont forget Mr Vai
+
I was there. It was totally inspiring.
Also Rob Araujo and Tom Misch
They were actually there.
He's so rad that I actually get emotional.. like why am I about to cry right now lol.. man we are blessed to have Jacob in this world
Quite fascinating how he plays even the crowd like an instrument. And they let him.
It's delicious
And nutritious
It's nut
@@thewalmer7942 and nutritious
While been watched by a legendary Keyboardist (Herbie Hancock), and a legendary Guitarist (Steve Vai)
This is what happens when pure natural talent intersects with incredible vision, passion for all things musical, joy of performance, and discipline.
You don’t understand how *much* I wish I could’ve been there
Who does not want play with this guy..his energy is so incredible...
It's just amazing how he captivates that audience. It's like he's got complete control of their emotions during the entire performance. What a performer!!
I so loved that he introduced and thanked everyone in his crew and band and the house crew individually. Class act.
He's from mars! Definitely

I'm an athiest, btw. Interpret that as you would.
That paragraph made me want to vomit

I have never seen personality like him before, never...
Jesus I cried during the thank you's. He's so unbelievably humble.
When you go to a concert at a MENSA meeting....this kid is when MUSIC becomes aware of itself and physically manifest itself...

This is the show. Just it. Just good music, a lot of fun and and amazing audience.
