      @@tobiasedwards2643 it didn’t cause this “fun fact” didn’t happen. No okapi has ever walked on a Tarzan movie set. No Tarzan movie has ever been recorded in the DRC. Not even one scene of any Tarzan film was filmed in the DRC. And the DRC is the only country where the okapi lives. So this is just a classic internet “fact” told by someone based on nothing just for attention.
      Also wouldn’t it be really strange that researchers who dedicate their life to finding these creatures never find one but a random loud Hollywood crew with flashy cameras and hundreds of people on set just randomly stumbled upon one? Yeah sure buddy…

    This reminds me of the Mokele Mbembe stories. Supposedly also huge and incredibly elusive. The local people insist it's real but undiscovered by scientists.

    • @januszpolak254
      @januszpolak254 Před rokem +32

      Difference is that Mokele Mbembe is almost 100% fake and is just elephant or rhino and locals keep the story of "elusive sauropod" so researchers will come and spend money.

    • @SleepySloth2705
      @SleepySloth2705 Před rokem +4

    One large elusive animal I highly recommend for you to do would be the Saola. Also known as the Asian unicorn, it lives in the mountains of Laos and Vietnam, and despite looking very much like an antelope, part of the bovid family, or what is traditionally cows and buffaloes. Very few has been seen, it never survives long in captivity, and is critically endangered. Highly recommended

    Well you have clearly missed a certain giant creature whose name they only say in hushed whispers. It is said to be absolutely massive, voluminous enough to fill an entire classroom or a pool. There are no records of its weight, yet it is said that the ground trembles with every step it takes. It also is said to have the appetite of entire communities its feeding leaves massive swaths of land ransacked and desolate. Having a roar so loud it can be heard for miles. Its fear is said to keep even tigers at an alert. Yet scarcely anyone claims to have caught a glance of the creature, that's because it's said that anyone who does never makes it alive. There is but one recorded instance of a man claiming to have seen the creature an old man mauled beyond recognition on the brink of death, when asked what did this to him whispered only one word, the creature's name "Yomama".
