Kobe had Steph Curry range before Steph. He came into his career corralled by the system and Phil Jackson wasn’t encouraging that kind of game. Steph flourished because the system he was in supported his skill set and it justified him continuing to work in that part of his game. So much of the nba is about opportunity and a supportive environment; more than we realize.
