      Leony Nation My understanding is that they do that to see whether the surface of the table is even or to wipe sweat off the table surface

      +Leony Nation Actually, they do that to wipe sweat off of their hands, if you noticed they only do that with the hand they hold their bat.

    This was in 2015 when Abe was really starting to ramp up the anti-China rhetoric, hence the stony silence when Xu Xin made great effort and super shots.

      Francisco Padilla yea,coach liu was the first Table tennis Grand Slam champion of china.He had this qualification. : )

      Playing table tennis almost my whole childhood and teenager years and just from experience..
      I did it all the time to wipe the sweat off my hands for better grip on the blade. It does get pretty sweaty and a better grip is handy.
