I had "Rondo of Blood" for Wii so I totally freaked, and was happy to see two of the most iconic CV characters in.
Yeah seriously richter belmont was a dope reveal. I hope the other belmonts can make it as echo fighter dlc like trevor belmont, julius belmont and maybe leon belmont.

Richter is by far my least favorite member of the Belmont family but god damn, seeing more than one Castlevania rep was fucking wild. A shame Alucard couldn't join in on the roster along side the Belmonts he fought side by side with for generations

seriously if anyone here hasn't played Rondo of Blood I urge you to find the fan translation online and give it a go, easily the best of the Classicvanias and such a satisfying experience all around, not trying to be snobbish or anything, it's just a really great game and will make you extra hype for Richter when Smash launches, I only downloaded it a few months ago and I've been blown away that I missed out on such a great entry in the series
I can not wait to play the Belmonts. I been playing Castlevania since I was like 8 years old. That's over 20 years of killing vampires. It's my favorite series, even above Metal Gear. They used the best version of Simon too, looking like Conan the barbarian and not some androgynous redhead Asian boy. I fucking cried when I saw this reveal. It warms my soul to see the series getting the respect it has deserved for so long. Not only is the Netflix series amazing, but now it's getting season 2. I'm gonna play one of these games all October long like I usually do, watch season 2, and then it's smash time bitch. HOLYCRAWSS!

The day the internet broke was when simon was revealed.
It's pretty great how people were pumped that characters from Castlevania finally made it to smash. That's one series that hasn't had a new game in a while and only has a Netflix series.
