Whenever I listen to a Real Group song, I find when it's over, they've put a smile on my face. They've had that effect on me since the first time I heard them in 1988.

That's fantastic! One of the truly wonderful things about TRG is the astonishing creative newness of what they do. They've been recording for, I think, more than 25 years, and yet manage to delight us over and over again with something different. Bravo to you all.
Great tribute to a great trio. We lost Svend about a month ago... Swe-Danes together in heaven? Hope so... In the meantime, here is to these wonderful artists keeping the Swe-Danes spirit and sound alive, and so beautifully!

My vocal quartet performed this number at a choir party back in around 1990, and when I hit the high note a bottle of sodapop broke! The bottom cracked clear around and there was soda all over! A guest presented me with the 2-piece bottle which I mounted in a shadowbox and today it hangs on my wall, kinda out of the way, right over my sewing machine. My grandson asked me about it the other day, if it was true, and then I could show him & tell them the story. Linda Schmidt, DK

Here's that word again - exquisite! Katarina, we forgive you for giggling in the middle of the song. Great recovery. Terrific top - and bottom - notes.
+hughvane I don't think her 'giggle' was a mistake.. so there was no 'recovery', and nothing to forgive. If you go look at the original Swe-Danes group performing this, you will see they are quite silly and playful, and TRG is simply invoking this spirit.
+erickrarick Respectful disagreement. If you listen carefully, you will notice how the group 'loses' a part when, @ 2:12 Katarina looks to her left and gets the giggles - simple as that - and then picks up her part again 6 seconds later. Honestly, I don't know how any of them kept a straight face with that close, face-on proximity to each other, whilst singing nonsense scat. I take your point about the Swe-Danes, but I can't recall hearing/seeing any of them lose their line, to coin a drama phrase.
