My grandparents lived in Triplicane and I was born in this place, so there's so many memories associated with this place. looking at the video it seems to be so different now, My mother used to tell me stories of an Iyengar bakery which opens earlier in the morning at 4AM, My grandfather used to wake up my mother and take her to the Iyengar bakery, they have this soft bread with lots of cream and jam, and a glass of warm milk, that was my mothers breakfast. I am talking about a time when my grandfather used to run a restaurant on the ship operated by the East India Company. Just by my mom's way of describing things back then, I can imagine the food during those days was so delicious. I am sure the food has a distinct taste even today in Chennai and is also delicious. Really thank you so much for refreshing all my memories passing through the lanes of Triplicane.
