  • Street Food Tour in Bangkok, Thailand! What thai street food can 1$ get you in Bangkok? Let's find out! There’s no shortage of delicious and unique street food in Bangkok, as the city has an estimated 500,000 street vendors. Regardless of where you go in this city, you'll always stumble across some great thai street food. You'll find all sorts of thai dishes at these stalls, most often for a very cheap price. Join me as I walk along the main road of Sukhumvit to see what thai food under 1$ we can find! Later, we'll visit the Liab Duan night market. This night market is located in the northern part of the city and is very popular amongst the locals.

    Hello Robert. Welcome to Thailand
    Hope you have great and happy time here. Please forgive us(Thais) if there are any mistakes here.
    I am here to teach you some Thai words.
    .. when you want to ask....
    1. What is this called? You can say this in Thai like this " Aun Nee - Reak - Wa - Arai -Krub/Ka ( Krub for males, Ka for femals - This makes what you are saying in Thai sound more polite. You can omit this word but it would be better to say. )
    2. How much? You can say " Toa Rai - Krub/Ka" in thai
    - How much per piece? ="Aun - Ra - Toa Rai - Krub/Ka" in Thai.
    3. When you want to say "I will take this" in Thai, you just say " Aou - Aun Nee - Krub/Ka while you are pointing at it.
    - If you want only one, you say ' Nueng Aun" you also can show your one finger.
    One = Nueng ( one finger)
    Two = Song ( two fingers)
    Three = Sam ( three fingers)
    Four = See ( four fingers)
    Five = Ha ( five fingers)
    When you want more than one piece of that , you say "Song/Sam/See/Ha Aun" while you are pointing at that.
    4. When you will pay, you say " Tung Mod - Toa Rai Krub/Ka" in Thai. This means " How much in total?
    In total/ In all/ totally = Tung Mod
    How much = Toa Rai
    SOME THAI WORDS THAT YOU SHOULD LEARN
    Meat = Nuea
    Pork = Nuea Moo
    Chicken = Nuea Kai
    Fish = Nuea Pla
    Beaf = Nuea Wua
    Pork in this dish, right? = Nai - Ahan - Nee, - - Nuea Moo - Chai Mai
    in = Nai
    this dish = Ahan-Nee
    , right? = Chai Mai
    Yes = Chai
    No = Mai Chai
    Hope this could help you more or less.
    Take care of yourself..

      Let me explain something to you.
      Not spring rolls. They are meat balls. Thai people call them " look chin". It depends on the type of meat, Fish/pork/ chicken / fiish balls.
      What you are eating from the second vender are Thai snacks. They are ...
      1. Kleai kaek = deep fried battered sliced banana
      2. Khai Nok Khata = deep fried sweet potato balls
      3. Khai Hong = dough stuffed with stir fried bean ball and coated in sesame seeds and then deep fried
      Thai desserts are what you is eating from the last seller. They are for anyone who has a sweet tooth.

    Most Thais, especially older people, can't speak English because in the past, education was bad and didn't reach the poor people. For children today who do not speak English, there are few things that are not willing to study or do not have the courage to speak. I'm sad just thinking about it.

    • @Robert_Berg
      @Robert_Berg  Před rokem

      It was never a problem for me. If you want to try the street food, I would suggest to eat where the locals eat because if they keep coming back, then they never (most likely) had that problem either. Also go to the places where there’s a big line. That way you can guarantee that the food will be fresh and cooked right in front of you instead of it laying there for hours if there’s no customers.
