+Bla Blah I actually thought her acting was really good. She's the one cast member with the least amount of acting under her belt and everyone knows that so they automatically say... oh her acting is weak or whatever.
She did a great and truly surprising job here. Plus over the top comedy can be hard to pull off. She was by no means a weak link in this play though. Hope she goes to Broadway with it.

Dear Mary finally stayed in key and didn't hit her frequent flat notes while singing live ,for once. And that "elevator soul music" arrangement was horrid.
It is harder to sing live than in a booth. Most people get more nervous when live.

+Victor Browne Plenty of women who aren't big have played this part. Tichina Arnold - Pam from "Martin" - did a great job as Evilene on-stage. Mary wanted to be a part of this production, and this is the part they arranged for her. They re-arranged the song a good bit, but it works very well.

I didn't see the 2009 City Center Encores production so I can't compare. However if I did, Arnold would have done a good job plus I liked her on Everybody Hates Chris.
