As an older brother, I can confirm that this is exactly how this works. You start out humble, letting your younger sibling have fun and letting them win, until they get a big head. That’s where the real fun begins.

Big bro: Bankai
I did this with my lil brother, we played Pokémon together as he grew up and he always wanted to battle my team. He lost every battle we played, so much my mom wanted me to LET him win. Told her nah, he needed to earn his win.
And God did he… my little brother has never smiled as wide as he did when he finally won of his own merit. He learned, he overcame, and he destroys me now. Even though it was a kids game to me, I have never been more proud of my brother.
Edit: Wow, thank you kind strangers! And yes, Pokémon is more than a kids game now, but for me it will always hold a special place in my heart as a boy who watched the show on KidsWB back in the 90s :)
What a good big bro
This is so wholesome

My older brother would never, ever, ever let me win. But the day I finally beat him, aw man, it was the sweetest victory ever. It always gave me a goal to reach. Ever since then, it’s all been downhill.

As the youngest sibling of 4 brothers I always knew even at that age, never to get cocky when your older bros play with you. It never ends well. They're bigger, more developed and when it comes down to it you cannot match their physicality. Not at least until you reach their age and beyond. But with Board games however, I was always merciless. 😎
It is true ngl. I have 2 older brothers and they are both tall and strong, Withered Bonnie and Glamrock Bonnie. They make fun of me for being short. One time I made 6 baskets in a row then I said "you suck at this", that's when realized I messed up. They both beat me by 38953 baskets. That's how it is for me

@@ruwaanbansal735 same with my bro lol. He’s 2 years older than me so he kicked my ass at everything when we were kids. I remember begging him one time when I was 10 and he was 12 and we were playing school yard football, I asked him to go easy on me and my friends so we could win. He was like alright, and then proceeded to beat us like 72-10 lol. I even had to get stitches in my knee after that game and was so pissed lol. But when we were in high school I had a much bigger growth spurt than him and was already bigger than him at 16 years old. I also got into boxing and then MMA and he was more interested in girls in high school. One time we both were home for the break from college, I was 19 and he was 21. We were drinking and he started trying to big brother me like we were still kids. I beat the shit out of him that night haha, probably more than I should have but there was a lot of resentment. We’re almost 30 now and still best friends, but he knows that he ain’t shit to me physically anymore, and it’s probably because of all the times he kicked my ass as kids that kept me motivated and practiced so hard because nothing was given to me easy by him or all the older dudes in the neighborhood.
