We don't need tik tok & social media app, we want audio streaming app.

You want to change the music industry? Pay artists for our music in more than just tents of a cent(s). Yes, I said that correctly. Most artists don't even make over 2 cents per stream and I'm not sure any artist makes 25 cents per. The general public has no idea how much the digital music industry screws the artist. That's why concert tickets are so expensive these days it's the only way for artists to make real compensation.
🙄🤦♂️ concert tickets cost so much because Live Nation does not give a damn about the artists.
Spotify is not the issue.
I totally agree!
they can't because they haven't ever been profitable and they give us 70% of the revenue
seriously almost anyone can create their own streaming service these days, internet infrastructure is cheap and so is HDD space
Record companies are the true evils
Spotify has explicit warnings on songs that don't contain explicit lyrics
Yep I don't know how why
That's based on whomever uploaded the song.
Gayle didn't really do a hard interview on this fellow at all. No matter what he says artists are getting the super short end of the stick unless, they are so big they have their own contract with Spotify. News flash LPs just passed CD sales. People want their own personally owned copy of the music & artists to get a bigger piece of pie when they sell those LPs to people!
Music is a culture it’s not just bumping trombones in your ears with rhythm. I want to listen what I want to listen, not what the app suggests me completely. I need 25-40% of suggestions not like 90%
Spotify has many listeners but it NEVER makes any money.
He excluding confidence before the question was post about royalties to artist..but his tone was less than..I wouldn't support a program.
Spotify is doing what their best at.
It all comes Down to Artists distribution companies/labels.
There are many Independent Artists on Spotify and other streaming platforms who keep 100% of the streaming and sales revenue.
Amazing.
I don't care about any of this I just want HIFI
Quite enlightening & I really appreciate his candor, but I wished he would've touched upon indie musicians who own the rights to their own music & use distribution services, also the power of curators who can dictate how much exposure particular music can get on Spotify, but of course there's only so much interview time.
look at this thief smh
Narrow the CHANGE 👀 👀
Where is HiFi? The people want HiFi!
Switch to Tidal
Holy puff piece
Pay artists more, Spotify. Charging us a $1 more, but you can't even pay musicians that make you that premium what they're worth.
I removed the app a year ago and won't go back pay people fairly
I believe Neil. ✊🏼
living in the past
Artificial Intelligence DJs. "It's about connection." To a robot.
yep, if you want connection buy a physical album, really works. Ive come to really dislike the roboty features.
Maybe, just maybe it was not a smart move to spent millions on big names, podcasts etc. insteat of concentrating on what you should be good at: streaming music.
we need hifi and lossless
Then buys the albums.
You've never heard of Tidal??
Joe Rogan, Dave Chappelle and Bill Burr are uncancelable #Cope #SelectiveOutrage
Have a Mick Jagger in your band to diversify your income, or your finished. Tech has scavenged everything else.
Does JLO need help with being discovered? Anyway, I love Spotify! I started building a curated list and it just filled in the blanks in a magical way that just leaves me speechless.
Mo’ money, mo’ money, mo’ money for MEEEEEE and NOT the artists. This is Steve Jobs-esque PR
No Spotify for me personally, interesting segment, however…
Neil young > Joe Rogan
Nobody talks about Neil young since he is irrelevant now
😂
tell me you are over 60 without telling me youre over 60 lol
@@Roadblock7611 lmao im not even close to 60
They talk about diversity, but in fact, they promote just blacks and women. There is just 10% of European mans on covers and playlist. Thats called rasism and sexism
Hey Spotify, 99% of all users see this change negatively, hardly anyone will love it! Why don't you listen to your paying customers for a change instead of bringing such crap and pushing these superfluous podcasts.
I don't see this crap in the app yet, but if it comes and I can't turn it off, I'm gone forever and switching to Apple Music!!!!
gayle has lost her touch she seems old and outdated as a journalist not to mention her debacle and affliation with meghan markle poor gayle and that wig? seriously >?
knock knock... YOU: "Who's There?" that was another ancient tree falling.
knock knock... YOU: "Who's There?" that was another forest on fire.
knock knock... YOU: "Who's There?" Bad Weather, Climate Change, Atmospheric Rivers, Massive Glacier Melts, Arctic Cold Snaps, Endless Heat Waves & Torrential Rain.. YOU: "R you selling Girl Scout Cookies?"
Spotify is the most exploitative and discriminatory platform for indie artists, ashamed as a swede
PAY FOR YOUR MUSIC. Spotify can suck it.
The media's selective outrage on Joe Rogan always makes me laugh. No one tries to cancel people who bash christians or muslims. Makes me scratch my head🤔
they 100% cancel people for having, like, a black actress or a gay person in the production team, I see it every single day
Gayle is soo corny
Stop slamming Joe Rogan!
Cbs is a woke race baiting network that's highly hypocritical
People are still crying over Joe Rogan's alleged racist remark. Unbelievable.
Another Corporate PR piece. What happened to CBS News?
