Primalliquid watched this while I was mindlessly grinding away in FF X, Literally a treat. Thanks for the work ;3
Primal smells like Pee
i really wanted to see the outcome of the Ozma fight.. i wished you did the friendly monsters as an exemption to the rule..
Im surprised you didnt take it one step further and auto battle marcus to 99 with the blood sword so all those stats transfer to eiko
with auto reflect, reflect x2 and return magic you can kill ozma?
It feels wrong to play ff9 and not spend 20 turns stealing a rare item.
20 if you're having a lucky day lol
Still twitching thinking about the number of attempts I made trying to steal the fairy flute from Hilgigars 🤦🏻♂️
Katie Heys lol agreed
True. I've had battles that took close to an hour to steal. Screw you running shoes and fairy flute
@@arbeione I tried exactly the same thing. 20 years of stealing and STILL never got it
"We go with Aerith, so she can finally survive a game for once." I died laughing at this so hard. That line was brilliantly placed.
And we get mixed reaction with Rebirth
The thing is: You cant lose the second Black Waltz 3 Fight. If Steiner and Marcus are dead, he just wont attack Garnet and lose Health every turn till hes dead 💀
Thank you for doing these awful things to yourself to entertain me and my friends
Thank you for the laugh. Enjoyed this comment!
Seriously! Much love.
Do you have friends?
Exactly
I like naming Garnet Garnet just so her pseudonym is pointless
"Princess" is also a good one, as is any tool that isn't a dagger.
"What is this thing called again?"
"Oh, that's called a dagger."
"Right. Well then, from now on, my name will be... Wrench."
I kept it garnet because dagger is a stupid name
Always name Steiner assbag
@@degeneratemale5386 same. I first played the game a couple days ago, and I got to the part where you rename Garnet, and I kept her original name. I usually stick with default names on my first play through, but this was an exception. Technically Garnet is also her default name, so it's fine I guess. I just did not like the name Dagger. It made the parts with Steiner coping with her new name kinda pointless, but his character still got all the development it needed.
"What's this called again?"
"Oh, it's a dagger."
"Right, from now on, I'll be called Mr Stabby."
I know it's going to be many times the editing work but having your narration coincide with the events of the video would be a big improvement. Right now you're explaining events that happen in the fight and then we see it happen 20 seconds later in the footage.
That said, hats off for doing these insane runs. You're really good at tackling them and explaining the process!
yea that 'spoilery' narration was really confusing and jarring. i would like it a lot better if it was more in line with the events too
Agreed
Not being able to steal the Mage Masher at the start, and actually fighting Soulcage the normal way without just using a Phoenix Down both hurt me more than I think they should. Cracking video mate.
I never knew he was undead! :O
@@mrman6035 every final fantasy has one undead boss thats killed by a Phoenix down, and i missed all of them my first play throughs and damn are they always super hard fights 😢 😂
At least he wasn't trying to beat the game only using fire spells.
"And I was a dummy and realised Freya was on the back row so I moved her to the front"
immediately dies to a melee attack that she would have survived if she was still on the back row
garnet, vivi, and eiko are the only 3 i keep in the back row. freya is a physical attacker so it feels pointless to keep her in the back.
the reason we usually back row freya is because of her jump ability, which does some more damage than an attack but also keeps her out of danger since she’s in the air. and since jump counts as a ranged attack, it does the same amount whether she’s front or back. back row is always safer since that’s reduced damage.
Awesome video. my only criticism would be to slightly improve the syncing of audio and video. Some times you ran ahead of the video (giving minor spoilers of what we're about to see).
“Zidane goes to meet his maker!”
Zidane: Oh Hi, Garland...
I remember when I played ff8 for the first time, I skipped the tutorial on how to junction. So I made it to Fuijin/Raijin fight with just attack!
Lolz
I made it all the way to Griever as a kid. Then it got bloody impossible and I had to learn to Junction AND grind *even more* to get magic than I already had to survive without Junctioning. I’ve never skipped a tutorial since 🙈
Same bro, I made it to lunatic pandora. To the Seifer fight. 🤦🏻♂️
D JL Yeah only using Attack for three fourths of the game is not boring at all.
@@noelienoelie8425 whoa what? I'm in shock that is like end of disk 3
How is that even possible. I was in same situation as a kid, but even after hard grind (which was kinda making things even worse with level scaling) I was not able to pass the Elvoret in comm tower :O
You actually can't lose the 2nd Black Waltz 3 fight, He will never attack Garnet and instead he will just Crack which does damage to himself. Also you can heal with the attack command using Garnet and eiko with the Healer Auto-ability
Also It's IIFA tree not LIFA tree
I've been saying LIFA for almost 20 years... And i couldn't care less XD
I was here to say this. All the build up for Black Waltz 3 but yeah you can’t lose against it
@@CpnRad i thought that if steiner and marcus get KOd and BW3 casts sleep on garnet that was a loss?
@@NarutoLikesSherbit01 BW2 casts sleep on Dagger. On the first BW3-fight, Dagger isn't there
Kwoina, Gissmaluke, Lifa, Ah-MARR-anth, Olivert.
I seem to recall you can’t actually really lose the Black Waltz 3 Part 2 fight. Once he takes out Marcus and Steiner he just attacks himself. He will NEVER attack Garnet/Dagger/Aeirith!
Excellent video my man!
*Garnet/Dagger/Aerith/Sarah
Yeah and he'll actually end up damaging himself too!
You can, you just have to have Garnet die before he does, but this means you have to intentionally attack yourself to ever actually lose that fight.
@@MugenHeadNinja granted, but that’s such a deliberate way to screw yourself over I can’t see it being a worthwhile use of your time especially since the cutscene before it is LOOOOONG!
This was literally how I played FF8 when I was like 6 years old cause I didn't understand junctions and that I had to assign something other than attack to my bars :D
Did you you actually beat it that way?
@@wuddup321 haha no way i got to the diablos on top of the comms tower and got rekt
@@KennyB1990 I think that's Elvoret on the communication tower?
I love FFIX so much and not to mention this year marks Final Fantasy IX's 20th anniversary. I bet this challenge is really hard and took you so many attempts to get this right. Great job on this video and Happy 20th Anniversary Final Fantasy IX, thank you for the memories and the amazing adventures you gave us and the reason why we want to return to this beautiful game.❤️
"If we fail to defeat Black Waltz No. 3 with Steiner and Aerith, then we'll have to do this all again."
I love you for building that up.
”We go with Aerith so she can actually survive a game for once!”
I thought I was the only one doing this. I always name Terra, Garnet or Rinoa as Aerith because I want my Aeriths alive. The actual Aerith gets downgraded to Aerisu. Because she just dies.
I've just bought this game for ps4 on the sale, I've not played it since I was in my teens if not younger, my nostalgia went crazy
Great video. I was kind of hoping though that you would give yourself 8 free item uses to do the friendly monsters and still fight Ozma.
Before I even watch the full video, I'm liking and commenting. The dedication is absolutely admirable.
The amount of insanity you commit to is impressive and a bit scary. "Oops, I just wasted 30 hour grinding." Oops? Oops? That's worthy of a broken controller. Hehe
True
On a total binge session of your videos after finding you like 4 days ago, I love the videos and respect that hard work!
Welcome aboard! and glad you like them :)
This looks like a fun challenge, though I won’t be doing it. By the way would you consider the square game Octopath Traveler for an overpowered video? I think that might be interesting
I liked the video and the idea, but if I can give you an idea: try not spoiling the whole video with the commentaries. Try timing them better.
Basically you just say everything that's gonna happen before it happens, making watching the video kinda pointless, could have just listened to it while I'm at the gym (who am I kidding? I'm a nerd, I don't go to the gym, but you got the point).
I agree. Primal puts in the work on the actual content of his challenge runs and even throws in some good jokes, but he doesn't put in much time on presentation. The commentary and quality of the game capture footage are both excellent, but his writing is too reliant on summary. DanteRavioli isn't the greatest example of a challenge runner (too meme-y most of the time), but I'll give him credit for how well timed his narration is to his footage. He also doesn't spoil his conclusion during the video.
When you didn't steal the mage masher...I felt that.
Good game though! FF9 is my favorite game out of the series
How do I know what and where I have to steal
@@maxwel1 A Walkthrough
Even if you couldn't beat BW3 in the Disc 2 battle, he would have killed himself when Garnet was the only one left standing. I'm not joking, he literally breaks his own neck. It's SUPER dark.
oh really? ive never actually seen or even heard of this
@@Primalliquid92 Yep, while Marcus and Steiner are taking a dirt nap, the only action he can take is to use "" which deals damage to himself. It's honestly a little upsetting to watch given the nature of the Black Waltzes and his obviously broken state in this fight.
Holy crap
The best challenge I have ever tried is getting to Ramuh without any equipment upgrades (initial character equipment). Because we were a bunch of 9-year-olds who didn’t know how to equip and were allowed to play for 2 hours a day in summer ONLY because my friends and I had a promise to only play together. It took us 2 years, guys.
We finished the game when we were 13. It basically defined our journey away from childhood.
First off - congrats on your Attack Only run, that was a fun watch :D (even if the narration did skip ahead a bit at times).
Second: I have a challenge suggestion for you, something I did myself a few years ago in FF7. A 'One-Star Run'.
Basically, you can only use Level 1 materia (and each E.Skill materia can only learn 1 ability, if it learns a second you can no longer equip/use it), can't run from battles, and can't use the Attack or Limit Break commands, or anything that replaces those commands. (Additional commands, like Deathblow, are ok. Added Cut is borderline but I allowed it.)
I'm fairly certain I banned items-in-battle as well, but I can't be sure I didn't use the occasional Ether, Potion or Ghost Hand.
It took a while, but I completed this challenge in the end; things really took a turn for the better when I was finally able to cast Comet :)
What a coincidence, I'm just now starting my first playthrough of FFIX. Will have to remember this video for after I beat it.
Better question: Did you ever actually beat it?
yo this is a really interesting concept for a challenge, this is something thats always been in the back of my mind for any jrpg game really, so im glad i finally get to see it in action. shout outs to you for making it happen lol.
Glad you enjoyed!
I was randomly recommended this video and I'm glad I was. It was fun looking back at a game from my youth again. Well done.
i actually did this challenge a long time ago when this was the only game i owned for 2 years when i was a kid, and i didn't have internet, i found it really hard/annoying since i was still new to what gear did what and all i had was the strategy guide, but i did find that if you grinned to level 25-30 and was finally able to kill the grand dragon, and i got to level 80 on disc one and decided to just try to power attack everyone, it was a bit quicker in my own perspective,
Just wanted to say that you make some really great videos. Your FFII overpowered video blew my mind recently. Really enjoyed these during a stressful time in life. Thanks
Glad you like them!
I'm obsessive with grinding and never enter Dali until all of my characters are level 15. Early disc 2 wouldn't have been a problem for me if I was doing this challenge, but like you and so many others, I can never feel comfortable until I've stolen every item.
Honestly level don't give a lot in FFIX, except a good amount of health. Equipments are what gives you the majority of your stats (that's why the gimmick in ipsen's castle works by the way).
Poor Vivi had a really bad time in this run.
Super interesting and well done, will check out your FFVIII Video afterwards!
So this is a typical no Night speedrun but with no restriction on time, which means a lot more grinding. Those typically use the physical characters anyway the vast majority of the time. Without Charge or Jump, Necron will be a huge pain without massive grinding to deal with Grand Cross, Neutron Ring, and Meteor.
“Aerith so she can finally survive a game for once”. That made me spit out my drink haha
You can use Eiko and Dagger to damage Ozma (since they are long-range with rackets) and use Return Magic with Amarant and Vivi to return the Doomsday's and do a tonne of damage.
With 99 phoenix pinion and phoenix learned you are very likely to be revived if wiped out too if Eiko is in party.
Ozma is definitely possible, but will obviously be insanely hard.
Returning the Doomsdays would heal Ozma because it absorbs shadow if you haven't done the friendly monsters.
You are such a mad lad doing these FF challenges.
Honestly I would've failed instantly because I'm such a fan of Vivi and of course I love being a thieving bastard.
At 4:40 I thought you said “More Cheesier” and not “much easier” and it made me laugh
This is basically just Final Fantasy ASMR. I can't believe it took so long for youtube to recommend this channel to me.
Welcome aboard!
I never made the Memoria Section with the first FF games, nor did I ever questioned about Garland beeing part of FF9. Just by watching your video, I noticed that huge Easter Egg, they putted in the game. It took me 20 years to find that out 😂
FF9 is basicly a lovechild and a nod to all the older FFs theres easter eggs from all the previous games in here, infact alot more than 1-2 aswell
You sir are a Maniac, I love a gd grind and the joy of feeling over powered/prepped but the stuff you do is madness. Casually grinding for 10’s Of hours. I remember my first 100% of the original ffvii. Which I’ve still got saved to a ps1 memory card. Think that was 180 hours. Done without a guide or the internet. Dark times
I don’t even like final fantasy but I love watching these videos
Not sure how this interacts, but aren't Garnet and Eiko's racket weapons ranged? Those ought to be able to hit Ozma. So.. can Garnet and Eiko beat Ozma using subpar equipment challange?!
I was thinking the same thing, though he would have to be very lucky since Ozma can counter with Curaga on himself and the rackets themselves don't hit for much.
they ARE able to hit Ozma with the Racket weapons, atlist in the original PSX pal version of the game.
i remember it clerly becose of my frustration of evry one else not bing able to hit back in the day.
and at the time no reliable internet to tell me that i COLD make the fight easyer whit the frendly criter quest.
so yea it MEIT be poseble, but will probably be painfull to try...
Just binged your FF IX 100% playthrough and FF X 100% perfect playthrough. Keep up the great content!!
From the very first line of this video. I was smiling from ear to ear. Thank you for your efforts sir!
Most welcome!
Very interesting video. FFIX "attack only" is one of the challenge I have in progress after beating FF I, III, VI and VII this way. Glad to know it can be done.
I also started this for FFVIII with an additionnal "no junction" restriction, but it seems to be a bit too much.
My goal is trying to do all of them, and I'm pretty sure XIII will actually be the most complicated, despite the popular belief that "you only have to mash X to win"
don't eiko/garnet have that long ranged staff that chucks magic bullets?
Yes the racket weapons.
They do, but the Racket weapons don't offer much attack. And the three mages cannot maximize their damage potential with attack alone due to a lower STR growth.
This is my favourite game of all time!
Thank you for making these videos so we don't have to
Glad you like them!
I'm so impressed that you do that to yourself. It's so fun to watch your videos! Thanks for all of this hard work.
Great video! There's 20 years since FFIX came out, but it's still one of my favourite games and I'm still playing it like constantly. This kind of videos really make me want to play it again
This is super entertaining Primal! Thank you so much for these runs and these videos!
Glad you enjoy it!
These videos are the Methadone to my grind addiction. Thanks for helping to keep me clean!
Happy to help!
Thank you for suffering just to prove if you can complete it or not. I for one would never even try to attempt something like this so props to you lmao
You absolute madlad, thank you for the run. Insanely fun to watch.
Great to see you back. My heart broke when you said you grinded for 30 hours but still couldn't attack osma
yea it was a sad moment of truth hitting me like truck-kun :(
Brutha these challenge videos are absolutely incredible. I'm sure we are pretty close to the same age and had you asked me when I was a kid if this could be done I would have said no effin way lol. Great job man!
Been watching you for a while, never liked or subscribed, but now I have.
I've never seen any other creator who puts a much time into their vids as you do; where else can we support you?
well, you could take a look in the video description, its got links to all my social media's and my twitch where i stream every wednesday, friday and sunday
The way he says Amarant makes me twitch
Cool video, however you might want to pace the audio with the actual video for it to look better. You seem to jump ahead too much
i do try to do this, the problem is explanations are always much faster than the fights themselves, i tried cutting the fights in my last challenge which people complained about
@@Primalliquid92 it's not a sin to be silent sometimes and let us be able to watch, it's just an hour long barrage of talking like you're worried we won't stick around, that way you can sync the audio with stuff as it's happening. With that said, you're a great content creator that's improving all the time.
@@sausage499 People came here to watch a guy talk about his run in a short time... not awkward breaks. We are watching and hearing him overcome challenges... but watching just gameplay without voice of just ATTACK ONLY isn't exactly... well interesting in the slightest.
You COULD have brought Eiko and Aerith to the Ozma fight, equiped with the long ranged staffs🤔
they wouldnt have the damage, not even remotely close to being enough to outdamage his curaga, let alone when hes being healed by doomsday aswell and finally killing him before he kills me. even if they were truly perfect stats with a focus on attack.
@@Primalliquid92 Hey, man, that was in no way meant to be taken serious! I have beaten the guy once in my PS1 days and that took a while in general. I know the guy is tough.
Small thing but in the first major boss, you can just kill Zidane or get him into critical HP and have Blank instantly show up allowing for faster damage output.
I've played this game sooooo many times (personal fav, have the crappy strategy guide, notes and all) and I NEVER knew you could get additional stats based on your equipment.
I started up this challenge myself and Tanatarian is VERY beatable on disc 3 in Alexandria. I did it with a level 34 Zidane and crew (Freya at 23). Just takes Robes of Lords, the support abilities HP+10 and 20%, Distract, Auto-Potion, Devil Killer, MP Attack, Antibody, and Add Status to Vivi’s Oak Staff to inflict Slow. Counter may have helped but I didn’t have it on. Just had to time Zidane to hit Tanatarian when the book opened.
Did it on my second try.
The real question is "How much do I have to grind to be able to beat FF9 with only attack?"
You are absolutely amazing for doing this. And have way more strength than I ever could. You deserve the like and comment!
thank you!
Awesome challenge men, good to see some final fantasy challenge !
But did you take the helix fossile ?
Yes I did
I would think the beginning of the challenge would be the most difficult. Couple reasons for this is you simply have no support abilities to boost your Attack command like the Killer ability's, MP Attack, and Add Status (probably a more critical support ability to have in a run like this). The other reason I thought of was you also simply won't have a lot of damage output due to your low level, but that too is remedied as you can't flee and that'll stack levels up over time. Once you start accumulating gear and supports, your levels are probably going to be high enough to have a good set equipped for most of your threatening fights.
If you want to get really into it, learn what gear ups your strength on level up and keep that equipped primarily when near a level up. Since active skills aren't going to be your focus here, less worry about swapping gear on and off to mixmax Str/Spd and go to slaughter town.
Real questions are, can you do Tantarus on Disc 2 or 3, Ozma, or Hades?
Edit: Hell, go fight a Yan and see if you can even do that.
Edit 2: You definitely approached Flaming Afro the wrong way because of Auto-Battle. Like the worm in the tunnels before you get yeeted onto Pinnacle Rock, he counters when he's in a position other than his default. You just needed to wait him to jump back to the center then mow him down with attacks and your own counters. While your second rounds plan worked, and it was good of you to use Distract and Man Eater on that attempt, ultimately you wouldn't have needed HP +20% if you didn't sit on auto-battle eating his attacks.
Hang on, isn't Black Waltz 3 rematch unloseable because he starts attacking himself once only Garnet is alive?
yes
For real? I wasted so many turns reviving Steiner over the years...
I really enjoyed your insane grinding games as always. Kind of sad that once you had finished everything there was to be done you dident do the sidequest to be able to try ozma with only attacks. By then being no in terms of the challenge but still see your team facing him. But hey its still a great video. It makes me want to pick up my save of ff9 and finish it for once. But il wait until i am done grinding in ffx-2 and ff13 first since two at once is already a lot.
Currently trying tonget the story done in ffx-2 so i can get the characters i want but i have been farming the youth league cup and have made elma almost maxed. Only missing 80 luck but everything else maxed. And ff13 i am trying to see how strong incan become before the first barthandelus fight with farming tons of incentive chips to fet 180 strength accessories and 200 strength weapons when i should only have about 350 strength total maybe 400 but i just started the grind and i am at 650
I’m surprised you didn’t level up Marcus. His stats and Eiko’s are linked. That’s why she tends to hit for a decent amount when you get her, and then by the end of the game is complete crap at attacking.
If you level her, you level everyone. Think he was trying to stat max instead
This bought a lot of good memories for me and my wife
Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it
now that you've done everything can you now go and do the friendly creatures and fight Ozma?
Can you beat Ozma with just Attack? 🤔
Technically he can’t because not being able to use items during battle, therefore friendly creatures cannot be provided with the required items. Not completing the friendly creatures sidequest means that Ozma will be out of reach for normal attacks.
Could have added an exception to the rule for the friendly creatures, as they are not "fights", really, and we would have loved to see the Ozma battle with attack only. I think I have a save game with the friendly created side quest done and Ozma alive, I'll check and try it haha
@@germanmeier6134 you make an excellent point. That's a bit of a deal breaker haha
That robe of lords grind from the chocobo hot and cold made me die inside for you.
Great run mate!
Did you end up using the healer ability at all?
Thanks for these videos! These are things no sane person would try but i get to live it through you hahaha
Your challenges are always good from what I have watched so far :D
Good video dude. Thanks for revisiting my most favorite game of all time.
However 56:25 The hardest one is definitely Friendly Yan. I assume you weren't aware of him but if I stand correct you probably won't have the damage to kill him fast enough.
Edit: Also I thought you were also going to revisit Tantarian using only attacks at some point and seemed to fit in the last section of the run.
i did try it but it went pretty much the exact same way, the only difference is i survived longer but still didnt even get remotely close to killing it
@@Primalliquid92 which one??
You get the Gold Choker in Cleyra which offers Auto-Potion. I know you probably wanted to make this exciting, but Auto-Potion + the ability to level to 99 at any point makes 3/4 of the game trivial. That said, I wasn't sure you could even get past Sealion, so good job.
The amount of work you put into your challenge runs is insane. You do good work, Primal.
I just want to add some productive criticism:
1) Playing FF9 on PC? Get that Moguri mod!
2) On your timing of footage and narration: sometimes quick cutting to images can spread your footage out enough that you can maintain sync easily. Stock photos of items and characters can help. If you're talking about using a particular piece of equipment for a boss, you could cut to being back at the store purchasing the item, then go back to the battle, for example.
3) The handful of jokes you've written in are quick and very well done without seeming forced. I'd love to hear more. Otherwise the narration is a bit dry.
I'm at the point where I like your videos at the start of watching them.
I kind of hate when games make you wear particular gear to micromanage the stat gains when leveling up. It makes sense to an extent, but it makes min/maxing frustrating. Its like dbz on the gba where you have to wear a specific hat to get the best stats, or dragons dogma where you have to swap classes to gain passives, but if you level up as a different class you gain different stats.
This one maybe you just specialize in a class but it is just one more thing to worry about if you're grinding to try getting the right gear before leveling.
7:44 I was about to check my phone too, lol.
"We rename her Aerith so she could survive a game, for once."
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You were so preoccupied with whether or not you could, you didn't stop to think if you should.
because the answer is obviously i should!
All the solo fights will be a huge struggle
a dear friend of mine, very crude but nice, nicknamed these games as "game where you always have to press the X".
He was absolutely right.
To the Ozma Part
If you do the Friendly Monster Side Quest, it is ridiculously easy to beat Ozma with attack only using Zidane, Steiner, Amarant and Freya, it took only about 4 minutes for me,i had Auto-Life/Regen, MP Attack, Bird Killer, Return Magic, Auto-Potion (just in case my health is way too low) Bright Eyes, Antibody. And 10/20% HP for them, i also grinded to lvl 99 early on Disc 1 and tried to get my Trance meter as close to full as possible, killing off the characters and running away, switching party members and repeating the same thing with Zidane, which made it even easier to beat Ozma since it used Curse twice, and made Three of them Trance instantly once they got the mini status effect, and the only character to die was Zidane...then he got immediately back with Auto-Life. So it is possible to beat Ozma with Attack only. If you do the Friendly Monster Sidequest that is.
You cannot use items during this challenge making it impossible.
Back to your best here Primal. Good work bro!
Kinda funny how he was worried about the second fight with black waltz 3 cuz if garnet is the only one alive he will just attack himself
1 year late to discovering your channel nd thoroughly enjoyed all your overpowered series and now ff9 challenge (my fav FF) , any chance of looking at 100% completion of any star ocean in the future?
You know auto potion uses the lowest quality ones first. If you have only x potions it uses them.
he uses auto potion just for the animation so he auto regen has more time to heal him
@@leonard9624 But with the x-potion it would heal him faster in the end or?
I LOVE the character design of Zidane and his friends among his captain’s crew! FF9 has my FAVORITE final fantasy designs. I have seen the ff7 remake with better graphics and played ff7 crisis core, seen the graphics in ff10 and all may be considered better than this game but still, this game has my FAVORITE design ❤
The best part of FF9 is the same as FF12
All the default thieves who can steal, and all the battles where it's super useful 😂
Also, seems like Garnets Healing Rod is gonna be incredibly important. Least you can make her heal in battle 14:32
So many FF9 videos, my little heart is all aflutter.
Haven't watched at all yet, but read the rules.
The Prison Cage fight must be tough with Garnet in it, cuz zidane's trance is pretty necessary. I assume you're gonna need to be somewhere around Lv 12 to get high enough damage rolls to do it consistently.
Plant Brain is a bitch cuz of blind but kinda doable, I'd kill Zidane first to get Blank in after the boss does blind.
I think BW1 and Sealion is doable after a bit of grinding. The max damage Sealion can do outside of Blizzara/Tsunami counters is 36.
BW2 and BW3 are doable specially if Steiner hits trance.
I could go on but just the thought of Gizamaluke is terrifying me and then BEATRIX!
OKAY TIME TO HIT THE PLAY BUTTON ON THE VIDEO
Edit: ok so grinding Chocobo forest solves the Gizamaluke trouble. Second BW3 fight is impossible to die in cuz he never hits Garnet and just to death :D
Wow. This one was seriously impressive.
Did you name Garnet Aerith? lmao
I love these vids, subbed!
I started my FF 9 playthrough playthrough today, how fitting.
