I am an old Boomer now (77), but I can tell you, that when I was a kid, Green Lake was just considered to be everyone's extended back yard!. I spent many summers, walking, awimming, biking around the lake, as it was only about a 15 minute walk from my home, located around six blocks North of the lake. Good times, innocent fun, first pursued a growing interest in the girls at Green Lake. Did some fishing too. My generation took all of this for granted...looking back, we were very fortunate to grown up in this area of Seattle.
Yes indeed. That sounds like fun. We never think that one day those days will be gone. Houses are so expensive in that area now it’s crazy. And really crowded. I use to go trout fishing there with my dad when I was a kid . Late 70s ha!
