What makes you choose laser vs dry ice? I would imagine the laser would not be the choice for plastics and rubber hoses or stickers, and dry ice would be the choice for those. Leaving rust for the laser, basically where you would have used the hot brush. Am I right?

PPF installation has gotta be the weirdest section in a business that's almost fully mechanized. You use laser cleaning machine, dry-ice machine, tornador, pressure washer, dual action polisher yet the PPF is installed mostly manually with a razor...
At this point somebody should have figured out how to make custom pre-cut PPF based on car make and model that will cover the panels perfectly with no leftovers and can be installed easily without a razor.

There absolutely is pre-cut ppf for many cars - xpel has them on the site and we use a plotter to cut those when the model is in the system - certain cars aren’t there, and some have special trims or the owner wants a special coverage not available, and then we do it manually like this.
